What a great performance. Home Free is an excellent demonstration of unity in song. In my almost 50 years as a musician, the greatest fun wasn't just being in a band. But being able to harmonize. Home Free is the ultimate singing experience for any musician. The people who claim they can't sing will never realize that 95% of singing is listening. And it is such a sad state of existence not to be able to sing harmony with another good singer. When the right notes are hit, there is a resonance in the heart that hits every emotion.

There is a very fine line when doing a cover of an iconic song. If you arent respectful of the original and go off on your own rendition it usually turns out pretty lame. But then if you just do a copycat version you sound like you have nothing of your own to offer. Then there's the fine line where you stay true AND your soul shines through. I HAVE to say something here. First of all...AWESOME! Next, reflecting back to 1972, I saw the Eagles perform as an opening act for Edgar Winter (who brought the house down as the middle act) with Yes being the headliner for the evening. Strange line-up of acts for one evening huh? HAHA. Anyhow, for me, the one thing which set the Eagles apart from every other mainstream act was their incredible vocal chops with intricate close harmonies. In 1972 they had not quite reached their crescendo in popularity and I had the distinct impression that nobody was there to see them perform. I was very annoyed that everyone around me in the venue basically ignored their performance and were talking and partying it up while I was sitting there mesmerized with their great singing...but was struggling to hear them...that is until they ended their set with Take It Easy which had been played on the radio quite a bit by that time and everyone around me suddenly took note that they were on stage. I felt bad for the Eagles that evening, but they more than made up for it on down the road, didn't they? Fellas, I LOVE Seven Bridges Road and you KILLED IT! In fact, I believe that YOUR vocal chops actually rival those of the Eagles...my opinion, of course, but I'm just telling it like it is. Very fine job on this one. Good golly, where have I been for the past couple of years? I have been doing a whole lot of catching up with your videos here on the tube and I am thoroughly enjoying myself listening and watching you. Loved the collab with The Oak Ridge Boys, too! Being a member of my church choir(bass/baritone) and from a musical family I really appreciate great vocal harmony groups and Home Free is one of the best I have ever heard. I would flatter myself to think I was half as good as the bass singer but their voices blend so well together as well as the instrumental tricks they do with their voices. Great harmonies make for great music in my book and I say keep up the good work guys and I hope I have the chance to see you perform when you can get back out on the road here in the Seattle area.

Perfect harmony --- Breathtaking, in fact, in its perfection. Imagine them singing Southern Cross, Lee Shore, Hollywood Waltz, Song from Half Mountain, There's a Place in this world for a Gambler......

There are a rare few groups and or singers that can get me hooked on em, and you gentlemen are most certainly tops among those few. Thanks for showing that pure music is the best. You are my new "vocal" heroes. I look forward to listening to you for many years to come.

The eagles ripped off Ian Matthews version with the exact same vocal arrangement, Henley used to be pals with Matthews and had Matthews album next to his stereo for time with this song on.

Awesome job boys! I love that you chose an incredible Eagles song to cover and you nailed it. I also like how you put your own musician twist into it, which made the song even better. Yall are incredibly talented.

Don Henley wouldn't be. He's so sour that he makes warheads seem sweet. lol

I just listened to the Eagles original of this song. I love the Eagles; but, I got say, I like Home Frees version better. It is more powerful; Tim's gorgeous bass and Adam's beatbox just adds something to this powerful song. For several weeks I have been addicted to Home Frees videos. I have loved men's quartets and quintets since I was a teenager (quite a while ago, LOL). Back then I loved going to hymn sings to hear these type of men's groups. These groups could pack a large venue. I loved listening to the Oak Ridge Boys, the Statler Brothers and other such groups; but, I feel Home Free is at a whole other level. You guys are absolutely awesome in my book! I loved your clab with The Oakridge Boys; 'Elivera' was over the top! You can tell both groups thoroughly enjoyed getting together for that video.

When you come up to Duluth for your concert in October, you should re-record this one on Seven Bridges Road; with the Autumn colors in that scenic stretch, it would be awesome!
