I haven't heard one song I didn't like and I've heard their entire catalog (almost 200 videos!) many times over, plus live performances (which are amazing). Originals or covers, they can do no wrong. Austin did a fabulous job of this classic song. Loved Percy Sledge's version, but this was taken to another level. I think it is also better than Michael Bolton's version. And remember this was done during quarantine, so the guys weren't even together. The backing harmonies are great, along with Tim's bass. And Adam's vocal percussion is outstanding. This is why these guys are my favorite a cappella group.

Austin's voice was made for this song and he completely crushed it. The harmonies woven throughout were exquisite, as they always are with Home Free and Tim's bass line was beautiful. Adam's beat boxing/vocal percussion was fabulous. HIs skills are insane. Thanks for a great reaction.

Austin's voice shines in this but don't forget the rest of the guys are doing the backing vocals and also the vocal percussions that make it feel like he's being backed by people playing instruments, it's just a full rich sound from all of them.

Yes, Austin nailed it. He gives himself completely here and also plays very well with the cameras. The great harmonies, deep bass and the unbelievably freaking good beatboxing/vocal percussion/vocal sounds finish it all off for me. I think it sounds perfect because of all the different beautiful voices. I grew up performing Percy Sledge which I already loved. Then came Michael Bolton's performance where I couldn't say for sure if it was better or not. But this one from Home Free certainly is.

Austin (lead here) and Adam (beatboxer) killed it. This was during Covid so they weren’t even together. I thought the use of the tv’s was clever. Home Free is a great group. You should hear the baritone (Chance) and bass (Tim) sing too. They’re all amazing. Good reaction Tyler.😃

I watched an interview Austin Brown had with Patrol Gaming. In it he said that he wanted Rob to sing Nessun Dorma 'cuz he knew Rob had such a good voice for opera. Rob said he wouldn't do it unless Austin did. Insofar as this video, I'm so old that I remember when the late Percy Sledge's was new and I still love it (Michael Bolton's not so much - I thought it rather over-wrought). I think Mr. Sledge would have approved of Home Free's rendition - it's just as good as the original! Love from Canada.

The HF version is a bit odd musically, with the first half reflecting Tim's obsession with doowop and the second half just Austin swooping around. His own version, recorded at home by friend and producer Steven Martinez on guitar and filmed by his gf, has reached 11 million views.

Where Austin scores, apart from having one of the best voices around, is that he sings the song with joy. I always disliked the Michael Bolton version, which suggested that he hated women and love in equal measure. Austin approaches this as a man in love and glorying in it, who knows the consequences but gladly accepts them and knows that she won't treat him bad. I think that's why so many people respond to this supremely romantic version.
