I'm in SE North Carolina . The Latino crowd close to me is loving the flower stems where my Chinese cabbage bolted the more we pick the more that come on. They are liking the small leaves at the base of the stem , the stem and the flowers for salads.

Thanks for sharing! I found using a small, cheap, hand seed distributor makes it a lot easier to make lettuce transplants. Pelleted seed only covers a couple of varieties and is quite expensive here where I am.

Aphids tend not to be fans of "semi" high pressure water as well...a good blast from the hose sometimes helps depending on the integrity of plant you're growing...lettuce may not be a fan

Ladybirds must be cheap for you then if that's your go to aphid cure!
