So most of these have solid doors it seems like. I'm guessing you would have to run an IR repeater for electronics functions?

Yes...that's something we sell with 100% of our systems so never an issue.

I guess but that’s what IR kits are for and cheap. I sell RF or wifi remotes only so I’ve never cared

Aren’t speaker in cabinets frowned upon? Seems like most of salamanders units are intended to have a center speaker inside Or is that an overblown claim

Yes these aren’t for crazy enthusiasts. However if you put foam in and pull it to the front , aim it up a little it’s good.. and looks good. Does matter to most

Most people don't realise that by having the centre speaker placed inside the cabinet, the virtual effects are not as prominent. Once I realised what I was missing, the centre channel was out to stay.

I was lucky to get my hands of an old wooden cabinet with alot of room. And it is very deep and there is no problems in having all the gear placed there. I did drill some more holes on the back for more ventilation. Because holly bib is my Marantz Cinema 40 running hot or maby i should turn down the volume a bit. Any way. Great video on a very importent subject that not many think about since most just get racks and store the gear elsewhere.
