I'm so glad I've found this video! I am having a home birth this time but my midwife has literally told me NOTHING about it, who to call, what I will need or to expect or anything and I am due in 19 days! Nobody has been to visit me or anything.

Yes that does sound really strange. Are you in the U.K.? I’d assume due to covid that’s why yours wasn’t as routine as you should have had your home visit by then? Hope it all went well in the end anyway...

I'm so pleased you're back vlogging 😊 looking forward to all of the little Nova and Jet updates. I wanted to ask, when you take Nova out in the sling, how do you dress her? We had a bit of a surprise and I delivered our little girl a week early almost 2 weeks ago after a very surprising and quick Labour!!! I'd really like to get out and about but still unsure how to dress her unless she's in a pram. We're in the north east so temperatures are usually colder lol!!! Xx

ahh thank you!! thats so kind! Hmm yeah good question, I tend to do vest, long top, extra layer. I was putting her in a snowsuit as well but its getting warmer now so i don't bother. I also put socks over her baby grow so she's got two layers on her feet xx

Do midwifes come with some equipment just in case baby needs some assistance? Great video, midwife told me she would visit If I wanted to explore home birth. The nearest birth centre is at the moment closed so the trip to the main one that it's attached to a hospital takes me about 40 to 45min. I am dreading that, being back and forth because it's my first and also get there after a long journey and find out all birth pools are in used. That will really affect my whole mood and birth.

How long would you say post birth midwives were there sorting bits out? Also did you have two or one midwife present? Lastly thanks for the vid😄 I’ve been considering a home birth, no pool, but a bit weary of “mess” everywhere and having to sort that post birth.
