I used to work at a shabby hotel 3 blocks from a homeless shelter and can tell you there was a constant battle against roaches and bedbugs. Even if a homeless person was bug free, they would "store" others belongings in the room which would infest the whole place. And then it spread to the other rooms, short of DDT its hard to entirely get rid of the infestation as you can kill the live ones, but the eggs are still there.

I really hope this city is gonna follow thru right to the end for the folks that are truly homeless and WANT the help (not those losers who come from other states that DO have homes but just don't like rules.) cause if the city or state or whoever doesn't...they just going to move to a new beach or somewhere! It has to be SOLVED and not "bandaged". Thanks to G.i.V. for a swell show. "GINSING!" \m/
@borisquince63023 жыл бұрын
What you are suggesting sounds nice in theory. But let's be honest, it's impossible for any city to do that, they will just keep coming. Where do you draw the line. The only solution is to enforce strict no living on public space laws and have camps far away for those that need them. You can house everyone. That's what unemployment benefits are for, to get you back on your feet while you find work. If you fail you have to move to a town, city or place you can afford. Not the most expensive in the world. I would tell my child the same thing. Face reality and man up.

@@borisquince6302 I don't understand what I said that was impossible! I just meant they have to help get all the way off the street is all. I didn't specify a method, just that the help must lead to a positive end or they will all be back. I didn't mean ta say it would be easy or anything cause it won't be easy and I didn't say the cities have to do all the work for them, just keep helping and guiding the ones that really WANT to get out of the gutter. You want brutal honesty...ok. This problem is most likely not solable at all. \m/
