If the housing around the clutch is smoking and the chain starts and stops, is there a way to adjust the clutch or does that mean the entire clutch has to be replaced?

I agree with Sean, I had to replace a melted chassis as well. It's all back together now with the exception of the Isolator springs. I was hoping to find a video to help me learn how to reconnect them.

My problem: the emergency brake bar spring is not adjusted right - brake is on unless I tug on bar -- not mentioned in this video.

I have this chainsaw. It wouldn't start. After rebuilding the carb, still no go. I knew I had spark, gas and the muffler wasn't obstructed, but what about timing. So I pulled the rotor.. What a P.O.S., the key is formed out of the aluminum rotor itself. Rather than buying a new rotor, which would have the same poor design, I used a small metal file to create a slot in the rotor for a homemade steel key. I then created a key from a concrete nail. Ground it till it fit, put it together. The chainsaw started on the first pull! Sweet!

The one I have is pumping way too much oil. Now I just have to figure out why. Good luck
