Homemade Chex Mix ~ Christmas and Holiday Snacking ~ Great For Gifting

A holiday favorite, so easy and way better than buying pre-made at the grocery store.
3 c. each rice, corn and wheat Chex cereal
1 8.75 oz. can of deluxe salted and roasted mixed nuts
~ 1 1/2 c. mini pretzels
~ 1 1/2 c. garlic bagel bites or Schuler's Snack Bites
1 1/2 sticks melted butter
1 t. garlic powder
1 t. onion powder
2 t. seasoned salt
4 T. Worcestershire Sauce
Bake at 275* for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes

I would like to share a favorite recipe in our family!!! I make about 10 cakes every year and cut in half and share with friends at church and the staff. Pistachio Bundt Cake 1 white cake mix (pudding in mix) 4 eggs 2 boxes instant jello pudding Pistachio flavor 1/2 c oil or I use unsweetened applesauce sometimes 1 cup club soda 1Tbl almond flavoring Beat eggs then add in cake mix, puddings, oil, club soda mix till smooth add in almond flavoring. Pour batter in prepared Bundt pan. Cook at 350’ for 50-55 min. Pull out oven let cool 10 min then dump on plate or wire rack to cool. This is a very moist cake. Have never met anyone who tried it that didn’t love it!! Nick name here is the green cake!! Lol. Enjoy!!

I *love* Chex Mix. I'll have to substitute to Wheat Chex with Honey Nut Cheerios or something else because I have to stay gluten free. (I get gluten free pretzels at Aldi.) Mixing a large batch such as this in a roasting pan and oven roasting it is such a great idea. Thank you for sharing.

Is there any reason you know of why we can’t re-use the canning lids for dry food storage , like the Chex mix? I have been saving mine and leave markings on top to show they have been used to can. I just can’t see using new ones except to can with. What do you think?
