URGENT PRAYER REQUEST!!! My husband had an ER visit, then emergency exploratory surgery. The surgeon hadnt finished, but came to ask me some really hard questions that I dont know how to answer for my husband. She said he has an advanced stage of pancreatic cancer. He just turned 64. He has always been in pretty good health, works out, eats right, etc. We always figured I would be the one that would have crap like this happen, as I am the one with major heart, kidney, hips, back, etc problems. I'm kind of in shock right now. Thank you for prayers! Susan, Missouri

Heather, you know how sometimes you see a videos & think you already know how to do that? That's what I thought but I will no longer dismiss a recipe thinking I have that one down pat. I have to make this now & it's all your fault, thank you for presenting this chicken noodle soup. I learned so much from you today. I was thinking while I was watching that it would be good to know how the children's egg business is doing. Maybe a follow-up video? Love you & your family & your channel & most of all your cheerful heart!
@TheKneadyHomesteader9 ай бұрын
I am so glad you enjoyed this video!!!! The egg business is closed for the winter. hahaha Our hens produce just enough for us, but not to sell. I dont use artificial lighting in their coops....I would rather their bodies rest and they dont lay eggs when there isn't enough daylight hours. Soon they will pick back up again and when they do, I will definitely do an update!

I took notes as I watched this video this morning, ran out to our Gordon’s here in Lexington, KY to hopefully buy these frozen noodles. They didn’t have them so I grabbed a bag of dried Amish noodles. I bought two pre-roasted birds from Kroger, a parsnip, celery, baby carrots and I had all the other ingredients (finally opened my Tumeric for the first time!) and after prepping everything it is now simmering in the pot! Thank you so much for sharing. I don’t mind putting in the effort for a dish but it’s got to look yummy and this most certainly does! I stopped myself buying the Le Creuset pot, as I have another Dutch oven one, but my husband did recently see that style you used here and commented on it. Maybe it will be a nice 23rd Anniversary gift in February! You are lovely, my sister in Christ, and I appreciate your sharing your life. ❤

With my family of 4, I buy Costco chicken. First day we have chicken, dressing,and a vegetable, second day we have chicken, cheese quesadillas, third day I make chicken and dumplings,then I freeze the carcass. When I have 4-5 carcasses in the freezer I pull the chicken out and put it into my big stock pot with about 5-6 quarts of water and simmer for 30-45 minutes. Then I strain it all and pick all the meat off the bones . Then I return the bones back to the stock pot and cover the bones with water and simmer 1-2 hours to make bone broth. I can my chicken in the first batch of stock with onions, celery, garlic and carrots ( soup starter). The bone broth gets canned in pint jars as is. When I am ready to make soup I just open a quart of soup starter and add rice, noodles or dumpling, easy dinner in 10-20 minutes.

I have no idea why I thought you were making chicken pot pie😂. Could definitely thicken it and it will become that. I used to cover with puff pastry, but got annoyed with the bottom of the crust touching the mixture and sometimes didn’t cook and puff all the way. So I took a can of croissants and pulled apart where the perforated edges were and baked it in the oven and it became our “dipper”. Gov with a try I think the kids will enjoy it
