I have never made chocolate sauce before, and we generally have sugar free chocolate sauce as I am a diabetic. My husband said yesterday that the chocolate sauce I have in our fridge is almost gone. I am going to experiment with this recipe using Stevia and erythritol. This will save me about $20 a batch of it works. Thank you so much.

Let me know how it goes Peta! I avoid sugar too so I play with stevia and erythritol a lot. I’m having a little trouble with the erythritol cooling effect. Not if it’s baked into something or cooked into a custard, but for a frosting or something it’s not working well for me. I just ordered some allulose to try in ice cream so it doesn’t freeze rock hard, and then thought about frostings and added another packet to my order lol. It’s expensive, but I don’t like frosting that’s piled higher than the cake anyway so I’ll go easy with it. Looking forward to giving it a try.

Totally agree that once you've had homemade, you'll never go back to store-bought. I make my own, too - different process, but same ingredients. I also, if I remember, add a little instant coffee powder, just gives it a bit of depth. When I was a waitress back in the day, they used to thin the hot fudge sauce with hot coffee when it got too thick. Great video, Becky!!

Becky you never go wrong with giving us what we want to see. Your recipes are everyday items and because of your videos I have started a grow/ germination area to get ready to plant a patio garden. I love your videos, your straightforwardness, and your awesome food! I also love how your titles aren’t trying to build anticipation or something, I often go back to find recipes or gardening info, and I can always find it because your titles aren’t along the lines of “you’ll never guess what I did today” 🙂. I watch everything that comes out, and am slowly catching up on videos from before I started. Love love your rhubarb bbq sauce, turned out so good. Can’t wait to keep trying your recipes. Your make ahead ideas are so appealing as I work full time as well, and have two little boys. So many helpful hints spread through your videos! You should do a video focusing on all your amazing time saving/make ahead strategies 🙂

Here I am on my day off, trying to talk myself out of a GW run for canning jars. So I am in the kitchen organizing my supplies for canning some cranberry sauce and apple pie filling when this video pops up. It is already made and in the fridge less than an hour after the video dropped. It made a little more than a pint, so I guess I will just have to have a little bowl of ice cream right now. Poor me.

Becky, just as a lot of people here said, I am starting to get organized because of you. Also, you asked for recipes for freeze dried food. Here is one I came up with and LOVE: I wash and cut asparagus into 1.5-2inch chunks, I steam them for 5 minutes, then salt and pepper to taste, add parmesan cheese, mix everything and spread it on the tray. 2 bunches fill one medium-size tray. The last time I was able to fit 3 bunches. It comes out as a very delicious snack. You can also eat it before you freeze dry it. It is my modification from roasted asparagus with the same ingredients, but for baking at 425F for 15-20 min I spray the cut up raw chunks with olive oil first, then sprinkle salt, pepper and parm.

Yum. You could infuse that with all kinds of lovely spices. I'm thinking cardamom, ginger, or mint, and I know how you Americans love your cinnamon! I'm not a coffee drinker so would use it to make chocolate milkshakes by shaking it up in a jar with some oat milk, but I wonder if a coffee-drinker could also freeze it in ice-cube trays then pour hot coffee followed by very cold milk over it for a lovely summer drink.
