I made this recipe about a week ago. I was watching step by step and making exactly the same as she does. Those were the most amazing doughnuts I've ever tasted in my life! It was my first ever handmade dough and when it came all together, I couldn't stop smiling! Also, while frying them into the hot oil, I was fascinated how interesting it is. The taste...Oh my god.. I made a glaze from chocolate and an icing sugar, vanilla extract and water, and I add couple of colors to it, so they were too pretty to watch! We ate couple of them and then I put them into the fridge overnight, the other day they were even more tastier!! Amazing! Thank you very much for this recipe. I'm doing it again for sure!

Eat healthy, vegetables are healthy. Donuts are made from flour. Flour is made from wheat. Wheat is a plant. Plants are vegetables. Donuts are a vegetable. Beer is also made from wheat. Donuts are beer. Vegetables are healthy. Eat donuts and beer, super healthy, much yum.

I love this channel and the presenter. It feels like I'm at the neighbor lady's house and we are learning how to cook just regular down home treats. Old Fashioned American cooking might not be the best for you health wise but once in awhile it is nice for a special holiday or treat and I'm afraid it is becoming a lost art.

I listened to this video again I think you're correct! At first I was thinking North Dakota or Northern Michigan but I think I'm hearing a slight Nova Scotia tone now. She probably went to elementary school in Nova Scotia and then high school somewhere else in Manitoba or Ontario. Her 'About' and 'outside' totally gave away the Canadian connection. It's tough to tell exactly where though because she doesn't use slang or idioms much. I love her videos.
My preference is to eat these doughnuts immediately after they're made. But your way of eating them sounds so good and I think you could do it with these doughnuts.

You are the best!! Love your cooking style.. I'd have the 'crowd' doing their own special sugars in different bowls. Like mixing sugar with finely chopped zest of orange, lemon, lime or vanillia sugar and that way you're not annoyed with rolling and cooking around oil. My dad used to have them with finely chopped lemon-thyme in the sugar and a little salt, like a savory fried bread we have here.

Yes, it's just a type of dry instant yeast. The reason I say "active dry yeast" is because in the States we also have "rapid rise dry yeast", although the two types can be used interchangeably.

What always surprises me is that the american doughnuts look like this- with a hole inside. Here in Poland we don't make the hole and fill them with a jam or marmelade and the traditional doughnut is filled with rose marmelade.I really recommend trying to make them this way,the marmelade really makes a difference....Anyways, I'm a huge fan of you and your recipes!:D This weekend I'm serving my guests your carrot cake ....I'm sure they gonna love it!!! xoxo
