Thanks you. Someday I will do a 3D printable version that anyone could build. It's not going to be soon because I don't have a 3D printer, but I've done some progress in the past few months.

I have a CR-10 since 2 month now. Costs only 300$. But you can make very big things with it . 30cm by 30cm by 40cm high. Would be excact what you need. I try to automate something with conveyorbelt and so on to produce own products in future. Bec. this i bought the 3D printer. But look for Fablabs in your city, maybe you have one in your area to print out what you need.
@interlinkknight
@interlinkknight 7 жыл бұрын
It's nice that you bought a 3D printer. I have my eyes on the Tevo Tarantula kit, that is only $200. But still, is too much money for me at this moment. I have a lot going on in my life, right now. But someday...
@tamgaming9861
@tamgaming9861 7 жыл бұрын
Yes i only invested it to realise my planed projects - so only in hope to make money out of it :-) Even 200$ are a lot for me! Yes maybe with an Fablab - its an worldwide project where everyone can use tools and stuff to relise their project, often you can do your things for free there..

Hi thank you so much for sharing. I'm also in process of completing my jet engine model, unfortunately I've been struggling to get the nacelle shape right. Do you have any suggestions on how to make a nicely cruvy engine nacelle? Thank you in advance.
@interlinkknight
@interlinkknight 7 жыл бұрын
Hi. I think is great that you are building your own jet engine model. With "nacelle" you mean the outside housing, right? Are you using body filler? What I did was made the basic shape with carton board, in a way that could be detach the two parts, like I show in the video. After that I put several layers of body filler. Exactly the same used for cars. The body filler cures very quick so I did this many times, little by little, trying to give a basic shape. After that is just grinding and sanding. Sometimes I added a bit more body filler in some key parts, and sand again. There is no go-around. Is a few days of work. One tip: don't wait is completely cure when doing the first grinding. After a few minutes, the body filler gets hard enough but not too much, so is the perfect time to do the grinding, since is still a bit soft. I repeated the process around 15 times for each part (there are 2 parts). When you finish your model, please record a video and leave a link here. I definitely want to watch it. Good luck.

It looks intimidating at first, but trust me is not that hard to do most things. Start buying an arduino nano, a breadboard, jumper wires and a few components. Then, you can watch tutorials on youtube. There are hundreds of good tutorials for arduino. Start doing simple things and little by little you'll see that you are going to create stuff that you thought you could never do. You are young so use that to your advantage. I started coding when I was 30 so it was harder for me, but even that wasn't that hard. I only have a few arduino tutorials for more advanced things so I can't recommend you those tutorials, yet. But you can check my tutorial about electronic parts: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mavNcpmkfcygq5Y Give it a try!
