I don't see why not. I've used it before with smaller drums. The great thing about these are that you can use whatever you have at home.

Do straws have to be plastic?

No, they don't. Any straw essentially works. I've previously used paper ones as well.

@@graceomalley4 I'm sorry they went soggy. I think I used the bamboo ones and they were fine. Plastic generally does last longer.

Oh thanks for your video coz I can't find the real sound of panpipe that made out of straws... And I begin to feel flustered because I don't think that my homemade instruments was sound like that.. but when I watch this video, I realize that my work was successful..

I am glad that your work was successful. The only time I got any sort of realistic pan flute sound was when I made it out of bamboo.....but that was a lot of work.
