I didn't find any company that produces silicon steel sheet and cuts at a viable price. However, I found very cheap 1020 carbon steel sheet on the internet, and the company also makes CNC cuts at a good price. I'm not sure, but it seems that the magnetic permeability value of carbon steel seems to be much higher compared to silicon steel through magnetization curve tables that we researched on the internet, but there could certainly be something that the quality of silicon steel gains of carbon steel. If you look at the price comparison of silicon steel and carbon steel sheets, the difference is huge. Sometimes it pays off to choose the most viable one. Maybe the quality of the two is almost similar or not, unlike the price.

Silicon steel has much higher electrical resistance, leading to lower eddy currents within the laminations and thus lower core losses.

Have you thought of using an ultra sonic mixer to help mix the compounds together. I know they may be expensive but may improve yields.

It just makes sense to thin out a resin. You don't need a thick super strong glue to hold it together. If you garden you know there is natural cement in the soil it can get very hard again a year after tilling, it's a very weak cement. I found you can thin out epoxy after it's been mixed with lacquer thinner it will soak into the wood it's the best waterproofer on earth, it even soaks in deeper.

I decided to buy a ferrite shape that is easy to find first. I believe in the KISS theory. If I can't find it then I'll make it. I should try this first just to see if it works okay.

I was looking for info on making ferrite cores for electric motors and I can't find much of anything but your video comes the closes. I would like to see how the actual ferrite cores for motors are made and would like try making them. I have access to a kiln that goes to 1200c so I would hope if I got the composition right that I would be able to make ferrite as good as companies actually doing it but idk I just can't find the info.

Trust me, I'm aware. I was inclined to buy or build a kiln, but couldn't find information anywhere on how to make proper ferrite, so I never tried it. Obviously, it's some sort of ceramic. So my best piece of (unqualified) advice would be to look around for the least viscous ceramic precursor you can find so that you can make a mixture of iron or carbonyl powder in high concentration.

what about low viscosity uv resin ? it might be a pain to cure, but nothing a couple weeks outside in summer won't do.

Maybe in order to get to higher concentrations you will need to chemically or somehow remove the resin already contained in the ferrite cores ( if you are recycling ferrite cores from electronics ) , just an idea

In this video, I used magnetite powder, also know as Fe3O4 or black iron oxide. amzn.to/3snb7UQ Though, I would suggest using pure iron powder for better results. The finer the powder the better it will mix with resin.

Howdy, how about using a fresnel len on the resin via sun power... Q: What do you think about using a railgun system with a blimp/drone (tethered) to be used as a skimmer for volcanic plumes/toxic fumes - air purifier? - either using compressed air to funnel the mass into a channel/filter - giant net-filter Q: Railgun transportation system with pods - that can be ordered like Uber... having special platforms with magnetic safety mechanisms to guide the pod and as a stopper. - platforms are capable of digging into the earth and planting different kinds of vegetation, watering, scanning for any toxic and potential new materials... - the platforms have wheels to move around freely via AI, to fulfill the destinations. [Since the way gas and energy is going, it's going to be impossible to fulfill soon enough.] Lol... Cheers~! To more Blissful moments!
