Looks great just like my Granny ‘s .She would peel her peaches and get a second batch just as sweet as the first!

I made jelly from peach skins last year. I was just being lazy this year and didn't peel the peaches.

Looks great! I'm going to try this recipe today. I have heard adding a tbsp of butter while boiling reduces the foam ♥️
@jeanparker92734 жыл бұрын
I also heard tablespoon butter will cut the foam

Sure looks yummy. Some still warm buttermilk biscuits or fresh homemade bread, a little real butter and peach jelly = founder time.

Thank you for sharing that with us. I was brought up by using can foods, I had a big family, 8 sisters and 4 brothers. One thing is I can't get my grandkids to eat can foods even jams and jellies, I told them it's a lot better for them.. I have one question, Is it possible to substitute honey for sugar in some recipe? Hope the family has a wonderful evening . God bless
@acresofclayhomestead5 жыл бұрын
Wow you did come from a large family! Yes there are some recipes that use honey instead of sugar, but I've never made it that way. Thanks for watching!

@@acresofclayhomestead My dads family had 16 kids in it, my grandpa had about 35 milk cows and all the kids had to before school and after. That's why kids nowadays don't do anything but sit on there phones and games.

Have you ever considered taking the peach pits and growing your own peach trees?
@acresofclayhomestead5 жыл бұрын
Yes, I think I tried that once but never got the pit to germinate.
@jamescallahan10585 жыл бұрын
@@acresofclayhomestead I tried with 3 when I lived in Illinois, but only 1 grew. I'm going to try cherries and blueberries next.

Curious - with all the stuff you cook/bake how much sugar do you and your family go thru in a month's time - and these food videos make me awfully hungry .
