Wow dude,l love this,so cheap and easy. I let my 9 and 7 year old watch this. Now they want to make a bigger one....THANK YOU SO MUCH... Funds are low right now,so glad we came across this video

Really handy and easy to make for less than $10. I also like the fact that it's also easily disposable when your done . Can't wait to make one.

This is a genius creation of an idea I had and I'm trying it, thanks. I was looking 4 a stove top version using 3 larger aluminum trays. 1 tray to hold coals and 2 for the pit. I especially love your use of the clips...To me THAT is genius.

Please do not burn charcoal or set fires indoors without adequate ventilation. Aside from the general "burning your house down" dangers of fires, the carbon monoxide from the burning process of charcoal can be an invisible risk.

This is beast, no joke I made one of these ages ago and was waiting for someone to create a video on it, because I needed to make some changes to it ( it kind of melted...) thank you for creating this video buddy :)

chaz1031 I DID get the basic concept from Grant Thomson's Bitty-Q.... However, my Mini Grill is completely different in design and construction. CrazyRussianHacker copied my video completely, step by step. I never said this was my original idea, I said it was my original design.

i tried this and it works great!! the only issue was the grate sliding around, and sometimes falling into the coals. next time i will make one bigger than the grill. i ended up using my cheese grater (one of the flat kinds) as a grate. works pretty good.
@claudetterobbross79109 жыл бұрын
Can you use larger (and deeper) aluminum pans, larger clips and maybe double up the bottom pans since it would require more charcoal? Maybe put sand between the 2 bottom pans for insulation? And use a rack from a regular roasting pan?
@ehullquist9 жыл бұрын
+Claudette Robb Ross Sure thing! You could easily scale this grill up with bigger pans, and a layer of sand on the bottom is a BRILLIANT idea!
@jeremiahhuntley40177 жыл бұрын
If I was going to scale it up, I might just place a layer of brick for the bottom and sides, and use a pan as a lid. A steel cookie sheet might be even better as a lid.

If you break up the charcoal briskets with that brick, then add to the grill and light, you can cook better.

Any ideas on how long the grill will last? also instead of binder clips you can use wire to create the handle and hinges (you dont have to worry about plastic then.)
@ehullquist10 жыл бұрын
No idea how long it would last, but its super cheep and easy to make so you could always make a new one if/when it dies. Wire would work, but the binder clips are SO much easier (and don't have any plastic on them).

I think it's funny how much flack I get for mentioning the "veggie dog". I guess people assume that I'm an animal rights PETA vegan but that couldn't be further than the truth. I'm NOT a preachy vegetarian, in fact I sometimes DO eat meat. I don't care what someone else eats... I don't judge. They can do whatever they want. Meh...

You should use metal clips (like the ones in my video). Do not use plastic clips! Using other wire should be fine as long as it isn't galvanized or coated in paint or plastic.
