working well-summer 2019 current temps in europe may reach 40c and here in usa already 37c and uv at 11.5 so this is a gr8stream of insight into what and how-why-physiological adaptation-behavioral changes of that ole dilation -thermodynamics of releasing the sweat gland thru the blood flow exit detox and water loss-so keep fluid intake up and add electrolytes-nice insight on dry vs humid environments-liquid2vapor and heat energy of latent evaporation- people who cant sweat should take quick cool showers outside in sun-to rebalance works out here in so ea az desert-very cool share-manythxs

All your videos are of great use, many thanks. One question I have is why do we give anti pyrexia drugs to sick patients? Is this not counter productive?

37 degrees centigrade is considered normal so why are you using 35? The Thyroid gland is responsible for regulating body temperature. It also regulates the metabolism. The T3 is what the body actually uses. T4 converts to T3 in the liver. Doctors say that a small amount of T3 is produced by the thyroid gland which is pure poppycock. That would interrupt the hypothalamic feedback system. Low Thyroid causes low body temp which causes a person to feel hot all the time (The ignorant doctors tell you that you feel sensitive to cold which is backwards - Thermodynamics). It also can cause the arteries to clog faster due to lethargy of the metabolic system. Perspiration is used to assist in regulating body temperature. Severe cold can cause the body to eliminate liquid to prevent freezing. So, if you fall into cold water and get rescued, blankets and warm liquid is a must to replenish the needed fluids and bring the body temperature back to normal quicker. I wrote a Point Paper about the Thyroid. I have suffered needlessly at the hands of very ignorant doctors. I have Pituitary damage and have hormone deficiencies making my life miserable. Especially the ignorant doctors unable to understand the physiological processes of the human body. Refusing to listen to a patient and recognize physical symptoms can cause severe harm to a patient. Good day, sir.

+Dr John Campbell Does it mean that when we feel so uncomfortably hot during fever (and we havent taken medicine), the body has overcome the infection and lowered the set point? Also, till when should the elevated set point be left uninterrupted and when should one take medicine?

I can see what your thinking is, and it does make some sense. However, it is difficult to generalise this complex situation into simple rules, this is where your clinical judgment comes in.
