Yes it takes a while to finish drywall. But the reward of doing it right the first time is wonderful. A tip I can give you guys on your next drywall adventure is, wet sand. Get the grit you want, with one sided sandpaper/foam. Use water bucket the same. Enjoying your channel. Blessings🙂
@lechatbotte.3 жыл бұрын
Yay I actually caught you as soon as you put this up. I had an older fellow teach me on a mission trip to fix houses after a hurricane. I’ve forgotten much but the better you feather it the less likely you will have to sand. I loved watching him like an artist painting. Mud, regular paper tape. Either you use premixed or the powder which you add water to. The difference with those is how fast they set. Enough knives for a cutlery store lol wrong knife.

The all-purpose green bucket is the best for taping, because it has more glue. It is much heavier than the Plus 3; just lift the container. Plus 3 or quickset mud can also be used. If you add carpenter or wood glue to the quickset compound, you can do the first two coats with quickset, 45-minute for example, and the last with all-purpose or Plus 3. Doing each coat with an all-purpose mud can take forever. I see this video is two years old, but I just commented anyway. I know you put a lot of work into your project, and I know you feel very satisfied that you were able to do it yourself. Good job!

Totally agree with the plastic drywall pans sucking. I got one a few years ago, and I had the same problem. Stuff dries and ruins the rest. Then you've gotta try to pick out clumps of dried stuff. Next time I do a big drywall project I'm just going to spend the $10 or so and get a nice metal one.
