I grew up watching the mid seasons, never ever saw the first 4-5 or so Seasons until I looked em up in my late teens. I actually am glad that’s how it went though, the first 3-4 Seasons are so god damn good, you need to be a little bit more mature than a kid to understand just how and why they’re so good. Can’t stand watching the seasons I grew up watching anymore though, once you’ve been blessed with the first couple seasons there’s no going back.

the Simpsons was created/written by ivy league elites who were negatively satirizing lower to middle class America - a socioeconomic group to which they had never belonged. Seems like thinly-veiled classism to me.
