UAD Spark Subscription | Worth it in 2024?

SSL 4000 E Channel Strip is now native and part of UAD Spark. I ran a Spark update yesterday which included around 42 plugins, and not all were tagged for update.

Nice overview 👍 Spark has come a long way! Since UA went native, I've been buying plugins as they come up on sale. They sound great and they are easy to use. I'm not a fan of subscriptions and don't need all of their plugins, but Spark is a great way to try their plugins and see which you like to use - especially when Spark is on sale.

I have switched to their annual subscription 1 year ago, and so far I'm satisfied with it. There is not a single project in which I don't use at least 2 or 3 UAD Spark plugins.

Yea, and they want you to pay $50 buck to get that native version if you have already owned the SSL previous which I feel is a money grab

Definitely worth it! I use many of the plugins in EVERY MIX!!! We already have the SSL channel Strip! Everyone should buy the ATR 102. You'll thank me later!!!

Correction: they charge for the native ports for some plugins. For example the ssl pair is 10 smackaroos for the native ports. And you can’t buy a native port if you only have one of them.

Just got clarity if anyone reads this: buying the plugins -new- gets dsp+native versions. I was referring to existing dsp plug-in owners, in my comment. It’s a mixed bag when native versions come out, sometimes free, sometimes not.

Yes uad plugins are great i lost my adapter csnt use them need to contsvt them to give me the native versions
