The food pyramid should be flipped! It’s so crazy to me what that stupid pyramid has done to our lives. I’m 50, and I could remember during my childhood, when my mom switched from real butter to Imperial margarine and Country Crock, and from Lard to Crisco. Then she started drinking diet sodas. Her health rapidly went downhill. Meanwhile, her mother, never made those switches, and lived to be 93, had no medical problems, took no medications, and died in her sleep naturally.

All the testimonies you post, Kerry, are fabulous, but Nick's is by far the most STUPENDOUS yet!!! I honestly am shocked he's still alive with all that he had to go through! Congratulations, Nick!!!! Very impressive testimony!!! Only comment I'll make at this time is I'm a 76 year old woman who just started my 5th month of carnivore after being vegetarian/Keto for decades. When I went hard core carnivore with zero carbs/plant foods, I began an excruciatingly painful OXALATE detoxing/dumping that made me cry daily for over 3 weeks. Plant toxins are real, people!!! Why would I ever go back to POISON?!!!
@ErinCRN
@ErinCRN Ай бұрын
I did heavy plant based keto for three years, and had massive oxalate dumping too when I went full carnivore. It was excruciating. My hips hurt so bad I couldn’t sleep at night. I just writhed and cried. I have had kidney stones multiple times since I was a teenager. I had documented oxalates in my urine in my labs drawn each year. I had elevated creatinine and decreased kidney function. I had to have surgery to remove massive kidney stones back in 2019. I used to eat a huge spinach salad every day for over 10 years. Every day, after my big salad I got a dusting of oxalate dust on the tops of my cheeks! I’d have to remember to look in the mirror and wipe it off several times. I never knew what that was. My eyes were always gritty. I have celiac and allergic to milk, so I ate huge amounts of almond flour and milk. I was eating toxic levels of oxalates. My joints always ached and it took me forever to recover from exercise. Not anymore! I’m one year carnivore and thriving!

@@SpaceMedic911 - At this point in time. I believe the real problem is that before carnivore, all those issues were taken as "normal"! I always ad issues with pepper or chocolate, etc. I knew that after consuming those I would notice the effects. No doubts at all, I knew it. But at the time I would take it regular/normal. A kind of "that's life" resignation! On the other hand as a carnivore the stomach/bowel work so perfectly. That anything that get's out of that amazing balance state. Feels like an avalanche of symptoms coming back! All in all the so called "cheating" is probably one of the best gauge for keeping one on track! You fell it directly, its an immediate wake up call.

When I grew up in the 50's and 60's and early 70's there were NO one who was excessively obese. No electric carts at grocery stores or White Front. We did not have as many fast-food chains like you see now. All of these fast foods have sugar in the foods, so people will crave more. Spreading the message is honorable of you both and all of you carnivores. Keep up the good work. I love you all. Cancer in young people is on the rise, osteoporosis is epidemic and young people now suffer from it, 48 percent of Americans are considered obese, dementia is caused by inflammation, heart disease is on the rise. When I grew up, there was about 4 ft section of chips in the grocery store, this is on the honest truth. There were not many frozen foods to choose from. Soft drinks were a treat. People did not eat as much as people eat now. My family thankfully did not eat at fast food restaurants, thankfully, there were not many around town. Good job!! Thank you!

My oncologist said I am doing great. 10 years since my kidney Cancer and partial nephrectomy. My oncologist at that time said my faith was so strong she wasn't doing chemo and radiation. I had to see my oncologist every 3 months for testing as kidney cancer is one that returns. Then every 4 months, 6 months and now doctor says I don't need to return for 1 year just keep eating carnivore. I STARTED carnivore in Oct 2023. Lost 38 lbs in 3 months. Unfortunately started eating cookies and apple fritters after my cats death in January. Gained back 6 lbs in 3 months and arthritis pain returned full force! Kept eating carnivore which saved me from gaining even more while self medicating the depression with my sugar addiction No sugar for 6 days, lost 4 lbs. I am going to give the Lion diet a try when I meat shop next month. God bless you, your family, your guests, and the commenters for all the support and tips.❤

Thank you and you're welcome! Keto can be great, but I highly recommend at least 30 days of a simplistic beef and salt diet. You will be amazed how you feel. Then, you can begin adding some items back in slowly to see what your body reacts to. I discovered on my first experiment that it was black pepper for example. Adding in only one ingredient at a time allows you to pinpoint the problem.

Mt Mother had a stroke in 2016, as her primary carer I told her it was time to sort out her diet as she was 22 stone (308 lbs) and she knew I'd lost a massive amount of weight on keto so I put her on similar. She was unable to exercise at all being wheel chair bound due to arthritis and a multitude of other ailments but in a year she lost half her body weight and she got to live out the last few years of her life a little happier. I myself have lost 100lbs in weight and I'm at my lightest weight in 30 years, this diet does work people, you just have to go for it and give it a try.

Some of the skin is still there. It would be nice if it evaporated, but with the amount of skin that I had, it isn't going to just disappear. With that said, the loose skin that I have is MINIMAL compared to what I thought it would be, and, it should continue to improve more. The skin is the least of my worries at this point. I feel amazing and am healthy. The loose skin is just a small battle scar from my journey up until this point. I can handle that!
