Homeware Haul 2018, Ikea and Homesense budget haul

This week I picked up some new budget-friendly homeware items from Ikea and Homesense. I thought I would put together a haul video and share the items I picked up with you. I was able to get some trinkets for my bathroom from Homesense and got some towels and a hook from Ikea. I used the Rust-oleum spray paint to paint it gold.

I love the little fan. I live in the southern US where it is hot and humid. Everyone has fans along with central heating and air. I have to have my fan on at night to sleep. I love the noise. : ) I guess it's just what you get used to. All your little decor items are so cute. Love you.

I love your haul & especially your fan! I’m in California, so a fan is great even with air conditioning. One extra tip r/t lime scale. For your shower head every third month or so, take a baggie, fill with white vinegar & use a rubber band to immerse the head in the vinegar at least an hour & it will keep it free of the lime scale. I use vinegar on my faucets too.

I love the fan. I sleep with a fan year round. It gets VERY hot also VERY cold here. I NEED the noise lol. All great stuff!

I love the fan. Here in The US we live in North Carolina. Very hot and humid here so AC is a must. But in the fall a fan and open windows works.

Catherine I would frame one of the teacup tea towels and it could look like a hand sewn print/painting. It would look nice in your kitchen or beside a doorway leading into our out of your kitchen. I thought all your shopping was great.

Your bathroom is going to look so pretty! If I may add, once a month, if you take a plastic sandwich bag and place a tablespoon of baking soda and add about a cup of distilled vinegar, wrap it around all faucets and leave it like that for about an hour, it'll dissolve the hard water build up around them. You won't have to take anything apart. That can be part of a cleaning routine...

I have always used this DIY Recipe for cleaning my coffee pot and shower head...works wonders ! For the shower head...just use a plastic bag or zip-lock bag that can be closed around the head, tie it with a string or rubber band [to keep the shower head soaking for an hour] ...and it comes out crystal clear :D THANKS for sharing your haul...LOVE the Teacup Tea Towels!

If you are going to use the plaster tin in the bathroom you should seal the bottom with something because when you have had a shower and the steam settles down where it sits it will start to rust and that's not pretty on your counters. A vinegar and water mix is good for getting rid of limescale. I used it in our kettle and our shower head. 😊 It can also be used as a DIY cleaner with some essential oils 😊

Well, I just loved all of your hauls gives me some ideas for my bathroom. I need to go to home sense which is known as Home Goods here in the US. those kind of tea towels were originally used because they dried so fast and when women made loaves of french bread the towels were used floured and the dough laid on them and they separated the loaves from each other, hence "tea" towels, ---bread for tea. My mother would use the towels for that. I like them because they dry so fast. I must sleep with a fan the white noise drowns out any noise from my neighbors.
