Deffo agree with the clothes & toys tips! I’ve had to unfollow most ‘influencer’ mums on Instagram because they’re constantly buying their babies new clothes and it makes me feel shit that I’m not doing the same!! They just don’t need them, there’s so many household items babies love and I always check charity shops for toys too! X

It can be overwhelming sometimes cant't it! Charity shops is a good one for baby toys!! George loves random things like a whisk and rolled up tin foil too haha!!

Totally agree with the batch cooking baby food. I actually took the time to buy one of each of the ellas kitchen pouches and sat and worked out the recipes and wrote them all down so I could keep them and just keep making them xxx

With you on the gender neutral, I got like the first 6 months of baby clothes all preloved before we even knew the gender (we weren't telling anyone we were expecting and I just felt I had to do something useful!) and will happily reuse if we have another of either gender. Also bought a massive bundle of stuff like travel system, bouncer, bottles, steriliser, car seat, etc etc used off someone we know. Got the cot and a bunch of other stuff off a FB freecycle group. We've definitely saved loads which is so satisfying. Baby stuff is such a massive industry and you just don't need all those products like you're saying. Great content I'm sure you're helping other people save money too!

Yes yes yes!!!! I'm due in a month and have bought mostly everything second hand and we've saved a fortune. Do find it a shame that some people do turn their noses at us having bought second hand but so be it.

So happy that I have someone to relate to and I don’t feel like a crazy woman that don’t want to give everything to her child that is “a must have / needed/ lots of toys / development “ as others are telling me ... some people makes me feel like I’m a “bad mom” even tho I’m due in 2 weeks . Yes to second hand. We got our sleepyhead from Fb marketplace for under £50 and were given an electric steam steriliser. I got alot of NB stuff in neutral colours in case we had a bigger baby and didn’t need the NB stuff then at least we could use it for another baby. Also pricier items such as coats, jackets, cardigans & sleeping bags, i got 1 in pink and one in a neutral colour.

Im a mum of 4 under 6 and 100% use chairty shops, market place, ebay and free sites in your area! If you have mum friends you can exchange items between yourselves for example my friend gave me her moses basket which was 80quid for free... i gave her books/bottles/ clothes for her baby girl so its works for everyone. Be organised, buy monthly for their birthdays think ahead! You dont need half the crap advertised for babies... changing mats... you can use a blanket! I use park saving to save for Christmas monthly as well! For birthdays and christmases i ask for vouchers to days out so through the year it cuts that cost down. Poundland and hom3 bargains are your friend!

I've gotten into the habit of batch cooking chicken and ground beef (or mince) and having it ready in individual bags the freezer. We can make meals so much faster that way and it has really helped when cutting down on takeout. I also need to spent more time looking for second hand items but baby clothes are just so cute!

I got so many clothes given to me from friends like clothes and toys it’s so helpful! Depop is also amazing for baby clothes I got some bargains! Family gave me my pram and car seat it’s so helpful think I only ended up buying a few things new everything else wasn’t so worth it! xx

Totally agree with the takeaway one! When we order a takeaway I ALWAYS freeze the leftovers and heating it up next time I fancy a takeaway! Also if they have any offers one (like dominos 50% off etc I will buy an extra small pizza and freeze that whilst it's cheaper and have it next time instead 😂 And the gender of clothes drives me mad 🤣 I dress my son in whatever we like and in Primark I picked up a pink top from the girls section and the woman serving me said "oh, did you know this is for girls?" 🤦🤦 My boy looks awesome in pink!!! 🎉 Totally agree about not buying all the recommendations! A lot of them are just a fad and in a year or so bamboo bamboo plates will be out and something else will be in 😂 we asked for things like that as gifts for my son for Christmas and Easter as he was only a couple months old and didn't need anyway so we saved money that way for sure!! My son is 6 months today which means we're starting our weaning journey today 😮 your videos have been SO helpful leading up to it!!

We have such a small fridge and freezer, and it's built in so we can't replace it. I'm so nervous about how much batch cooking we will be able to do. But only 15 weeks pregnant so I guess I have time to figure it out.

You can always just make small batches of the easier stuff I guess and those weaning trays are really handy for compact batch cooking baby food!! 🙈

Hey lovely! No we still use the babyzennyoyo for travelling!! It’s FANTASTIC for portability and smooth terrain, it’s deffo my fave stroller but it’s not the best in fields ect that’s the only thing xxxx
