This was the first show I watched in this series. I 'discovered' this show by accident, and was floored by the first 5 minutes of the intro. Too bad that NBC did NOTHING to promote this great series.Nothing on TV compares to this series, IMHO.

Bloke_19xx The first show i watched was when the guy got stuck in the train
@bloke_19xx337 жыл бұрын
That was the most gut-wrenching episode I've ever watched. I literally cried at the ending, when the train was starting, and you see the woman jogger approaching the crime scene...not knowing that the victim was her boyfriend/fiancee. Great episode. Thanks for sharing. Cheers and good health.

But yet, the Homicide is the only show in history to have cross over to many other shows, or had other shows have cameos. Homicide crossed over to Law and Order a couple of times, Much made had a guest starring role on the X Files, and Chicago Hope had a brief cameo in Doll's Eyes.
@NestorCaster4 жыл бұрын
blackknightdl I think that was titled “Space Case”, a direct use of the term for when first responders come to a job, when someone is stuck between the gaps of a train and the platform. That trapped man was played by Vincent D'Onofrio, before he would lead in Law & Order: Criminal Intent

@@spirittammyk...very good points. Det Munch was all over the map at one time. He made appearances in other shows as Arrested Development, and the Wire, another Baltimore-based show. The Chicago Hope Reference: that was Mandy Patankin as Dr. Geiger who received the organ donation for his patient at the end of the show 'Doll's Eyes'.

David Simon, one of the creators, said a few weeks ago that NBC is finally negotiating the music rights to allow it to stream. That was the issue. NBC hadn't negotiated music rights originally.

This was from the time when the detectives were forced out of their squad room by a gas leak and had to work downstairs until the lines were repaired. The temporary Box, which Frank didn't like. "I can't work here! This isn't the Box, it's a goddamn closet!"
