The Philospher Detectives!! These guys always caught the grey area cases. Pendleton is still the cop I'd want to get justice for me and mine. The Jesuits did a good job educating him. Frank's morals and ethics should be taught to police today.

This show was just as well written acted and produced but didn't get the attention it deserved. It was all about NYPD Blue which was great also but the nudity aspect brought a lot more attention to the show. Andre was amazing and should've won more Emmys than he did but that's me. RIP Andre. I loved this show.Hill Street Blues broke down a lot of barriers and Homicide was probably THE show that showed the rest how it should be done in the future.The best of the best African American actors mixed in with some well known and not so well known White actors made this series unmissable.The writing was second to none and the quality inherent in both Andre Braugher and Yaphet Koto(both sadly deceased,Mr Koto always a joy to watch anchored the show with his powerful presence),shone through.Frank Pembleton was the epitome of the thinking mans black Detective in episodes where he was the lead were a master class.He must have been a joy to write for.I could go on but there really hasn't been another show quite like this one,even The Wire didn't grab me the way Homicide did despite the superb Michael Chiklis .

They ended up making Tim too dependents on Frank... but tbh... wasn’t that the intention from the beginning? Maybe that’s what they wanted to show... one cops life spiral out of control without the one partner to keep him grounded.... it does happen a lot in law enforcement
@katherynemero41183 жыл бұрын
I disagree. Homicide was really all about Tim Bayliss. It was truly the Tim Bayliss show. From the opening moment to the very last second; Tim changes the most. He's the only one with substantial character development. And if you didn't understand that while watching, you weren't one of those people that actually got what was going on. Frank was more like a well developed spiritual guide. I assume that you were just intimidated by Tim's sexual exploration. But then, personal trauma does initiate spiritual growth. And most people are so dumb that they never develop beyond infant.
