Thank you, your video saved the day! Prefect explanation and the part link was a perfect fit for my 2000 honda accord v6. Fairly easy repair, saved hundreds of dollars and no trip needed to the mechanics shop. Thanks again!

@Blue Collar Garage I literally just did this today 7/23/22 on my 2000 Honda Accord EX V6 Sedan. I opted for all 3 OEM Honda gaskets/o-rings. I had oil all over the oil adapter housing, all over my oil pan etc. I was pretty sure you had a video on this so I figured I would pop in and take a look even though I knew how to do it. My Accord has 362k miles right now. Next on the list is I need to check those transmission solenoids you did a video on due to some shifting issues and codes P0700 and P0730. I also need to remove and clean the IAC since I am getting a P0505 code and idle surges. Fun fun fun! Thanks a lot for your detailed video. I enjoy working on mine. Had it 22 years so far, purchased new and same engine 🙂

Glad my videos were able to help you out. 362k on the original motor and trans that’s awesome and that just shows if you keep up on the routine maintenance of any car from day one it will last a very long time. Haven’t had any issues yet with the IAC valve. The p0700 is most likely being thrown due to the p0730 that’s popping up and yeah I’d start with checking the solenoids and trans fluid.

EXCELLENT! Great camera work! Every intricate detail covered -including the little tab on the pesky Honda harness retaining clips! Dang things can be tricky and we’re often moving the tab the wrong way - and often doing it blind. Nice work all around. Thanks

Thanks for the excellent vid, just cruising youtube for future reference for a 2004 Acura TL. The repair manual I have doesn’t address the vtec solenoid. It looks like a straight forward preventative repair. I’ll go ahead and pick up the gasket and o-rings for replacement when I change the oil. Just looked up the FelPro set at autozone for $14.99! Just waiting for warmer weather to do the oil change!

Hey love your videos I had just replace my v tech solenoid everything was placed on like seen in your video only thing Is my connector to the v tech solenoid won’t get the click sound it just is on not sure what I should to will it still be able to work?
@BLUECOLLARGARAGE2 жыл бұрын
Yeah should work you just don’t want it rattling lose. Just take a small ziptie or two and ziptie both connectors together I’ve done this before with no problems.

@@BLUECOLLARGARAGE one more question rite I changes the vtec like I said I feel a difference for sure but when accelerate from sma stop postion I’ll still feel my car jerk just not as hard only first gear tho but the rest on the gears shifts out like a dream wat should I do , should I do a transmission flush and put lube guard ?

You seem to imply that you don’t need to drain the oil, can it be done with oil in the engine without making a huge mess?
@BLUECOLLARGARAGE Жыл бұрын
You do not have to drain the engine oil there will be no oil pressure when removing it because the engine is not running.
