well i have had my kick stand on my bike for over a year now, but what i did not do was to put lock tight on the side stand adjusters, as they are steel and screwing into aluminium, ,so i just put copper Greece, on the adjuster as they are not a loaded part, as in the past over time the steel can corrode in to aluminium. but i am pleased that i purchased, the kick stand, as it does as it says on the tin, but as i live in the UK i payed £200 for the kick stand and worth every penny. yours Kevin

So just to be clear the bolt keeping the stand in place, and the bolt that keeps that stand sensor in place does not come with the kit you reused the the existing bolts?

That is correct, both are OEM bolts on your bike.

The oem is only meant to take the kgs of the bike. I like to get on the bike by using the left foot peg to climb on, so the side stand has to take my kgs plus bike kgs for a second or 3! What kgs limit is your side stand?

We don’t test load capacity for this category, since there are so many variables including lean angle, rider weight, and weight of bike, but we follow OEM specifications. With that said, we know there are customers doing the same thing with their adjustable side stand 😁

@@AltRiderLLC I appreciate the honesty! On utube, and I've watched hours and hours of upgrading Africa twin, there is alot of interest in your products! Most riders feel the sidestand and right bracket are the 1st options to do! Maybe, the weakness isn't the sidestand itself, more the lean angle!?

Many riders feel the AT leans too much with the OEM side stand, and of course if you change the tires, add weight, or adjust the ride height the lean angle will be totally different...

@@AltRiderLLC Thank you. One of the issues with stock one is that the bend on the OEM side stand brings it too close to the footpeg so when standing up the foot is resting on the side stand.
