It is more comfortable, the quality of parts and finish is better than the MT-07 particularly the brakes and suspension, not to say the MT-07 is bad, it isn't, it's a lot of fun, but the Honda is a better overall bike. you have to like revving and engine up that high with those 4 cylinder midsize engine bikes.....if you just ride for fun, then its fine, but if you are commuting you are not getting up that high with the traffic alone thus lacking a bit of power....personally i like to shift more quickly, just doesn´t sound right revving up second gear to 10k....to each their own i guess

@@dinohuntr851 still loving the bike and not had any problems with it so far. Loads of fun on days out round the country roads. The only issue I can say that the Honda lacks in compared to the Yam is it's power usability. This is especially noticeable around traffic. When I need a blip of power I have to have it in high revs so around 8000rpm and it can be a bit tiresome flicking up and down the gears. With the Yam I could just be lazy and blip the throttle and get all that torque and power from about 4000 or 5000 rpm. Basically the power is more usable on the Yam. I do redlining the Honda on slip roads. Wakes me up in the morning.

Once I will upgrade the license, I can bring it back to full power, It will still be a good motorcycle, 75 hp are enough to have fun. In my country this motorcycle is one of the most sold, so when I'll decide to sell it the market is good and the prices won't lower too much. I'd ditch my MT07 in a second for that sexy CB650R but in Australia the CB650R only comes in completely lame ass 35kw restricted form. Tires are rarely universal across markets or even production lots. On the same model year MT-07s I've seen everything from random trash Dunlops, to Michelin PR3s, to Bridgestone S22s. Kawasaki is usually the most consistent, but that doesn't mean they will spec great tires. All the Kawi 650s come with the same Dunlop D222s which are trash. The Versys 1000 always comes with Bridgestone T31s which are a decent sport touring tire, though maybe not quite to the level of a Road 5 or Angel GT.

I have Kawasaki’s Z650, and I absolutely love it! Much more comfortable than the other sport bikes I sat on (cb500r, mto7, sv650)

agree - i went from a cbr600rr to a z650 and the comfort is like night and day.

Can you please make a video between Honda CB650R vs KTM 790 Duke? I never seen someone made that one. And also I am in dilemma between those bikes. 😂 Awesome video by the way. 👍🏻

Man, i wish i could get a used fz07 for $5100 right now. Cant find them for any less than high $7k/low $8k, no matter the year model. Even the mt03 used goes for almost $6k on average

Be honest Yammie, do you dislike Yamaha? I have yet to see a video where your comparisons/reviews favor them. 😔

after going to a dealership and sitting on the big four middleweight bikes i have to say the mt07 is my favorite followed by the sv650 then the z650 and i am not counting the cb650 because i cannot afford it lol
@AntaresSQ015 жыл бұрын
The CB500R is an A2 bike that brings out the most of the limits being at the peak allowed power and as much torque as possible, the ninja 400 is lower 40s so it's not really maxing out the A2 possibilities

@Leo Alm Wärn Get the cheapest heap on craigslist. You aren't going to keep it. Spend the money you save on quality gear which depending on what piece of gear it is will last you 5 to 10 years. The gear will go with you to your A2 bike or whatever comes next (just my opinion as an 'merican ;)

Stock sound doesnt mean shit. Get a cb650r (or better 650f) with a daivo or firetorch exhaust from Thailand and you will never look back.

What dealerships are you going to where you can get a bike MSRP at $7500 out the door for only $8k? I live in the DFW area and literally every dealer around here charges anywhere from $1,000 at the low end all the way up to $1,800 at the Triumph dealership in dealer fees. I was pricing a Trident yesterday and with the model I was looking at ($8,200), they quoted me an OTD price of $10,100 lol

@10:00, sounds like the same power dip on the FRS/BRZ. A tune fixes it at the cost of a weird exhaust sound.

I've heard you say that dips in power a couple times now with this bike. I wonder if it's like an eco target for cruising RPMs?

Good editing so you don’t see the only guy in the park at the top of the hill at 6:38/6:39. That’s how the world works right? The first time ya get on it, there’s the pedestrian wondering around, not paying attention. Anyway, take care and keep up the great work.

Only when it's screaming though .... the MT has a touch more torque, a significant -20kg weight advantage and gets to 70mph a little quicker than the CB ... but yeah the CB has far better top end - and suspension - and is a nicer, higher quality machine all around 😉

I spotted a red Hondacb650R running around Austin. You can tell the quality from a block away! It is sharp. I am new here, some good runs through the Hill Country and going to give Bastrop State Park a try tomorrow. Keep dropping the names of your routes. I love your channel!.
