Oh yeah that will never come out the Allen is cent is jammed!!! I say no to water pump on these cars unless customer agree to go for it even if it brakes snaps

This is the easiest method of fixing this issue that I've seen. No need to tackle the pivot bolt.

Yup and problem is good luck taking out the bolt in the vent the Allen key it’s usually jammed up and will take days if u penetrate it with WD40 and try over and over.

You don't have to remove the ac compressor. The tensioner can pivot up enough to get to the bottom tensioner bolt. I just did this exact job on my 2010.

I just did it on a 2007 Honda Civic and I can confirm that you don’t need to move the ac compressor. The tensioner strut pivots upwards and the screw is easily accessible

@@jabraan1360 do you know where I can get that part or what the part number is? Also does that torx bolt need to be torqued down or just snug to where it won’t move? If so what torque should it be at?

All you have to do is jack up the car takeoff the right tire the inner wheel wall in your right there

Where do I find that part with out getting a whole new tensioner? Or do I have to buy a new tensioner and remove that piece

U can check online amazon or eBay but most likely it will come with whole thing

That compressor should have 2 more bolts on it on the bottom.

I have an intermittent rattle everyonce in a while - when I press a screen driver against it, the rattle goes away... would this work on mine? the pivot bolt is too seized and I can't get it to open

@@JayAR_YT I don’t think that would cause belt wear and tear check ur pullies they would be crooked or bearing issue on pullies or simply belt is old

@@RBTheMechanic yeah I did a check last night, this K-Series is burning thru alot of oil. It was actually a lifter tick from being q quart low

If i find out a mechanic broke a bolt with out trying to heat or add oil and let sit and reheat id make them make when i could 😅 done it myself.. i had work done to my car and that side they touch was all fucked up buddie definitely didnt do good job and torqued everything to tight 😑 that bolts broke and add not one drop of anti sieze in the rust belt use it the next guy with thamkyou
