Best mpg ive ever had . This 1.6 diesel is fantastic 75 mpg on a run . Did i say it is fee road tax .

I've heard that the FK2 (type-R) has a very hard ride, does this applies to the rest of 9th gen civics or the normal versions have a soft suspension?

I have a Tourer FK2 and yes it is little bit stiffer on bad roads. But handling is excellent. 1.8 engine is ammongst reliable out there you can buy next to Toyota 1.8 or 2.0 naturally aspirated. Consumption is summer 6.0 in harsh Winter 7 liters.

1.8iVtec is one troublefree bulletproof engine that is if you change oil at every 10.000km.

what kind of price? eBay etc has pretty high mileage ones around 7k which just seems a bit bonkers. I've been looking around and people are trying to sell 2008 civics for 3.5k

I love the Focus' dynamics and aesthetics, but I'd take the civic over it any day. It's also great looking, good handling, more fuel efficient, better built and especially, 10 times more reliable

The 1.6 idtec is fantastic and ultimately more reliable than most things on the road, I’ve put 34k miles on mine in 2 years without any dramas at all, not sure you’d be able to say that in a ford

Honda naturally aspirated 1.8vtec is going to take you to the Moon and back. Oil change should be always at 10.000km because of timing chain which can last over 400.000km.Consumption on Tourer 6 speed manual is 6 liters in summer and in harsh Winters 7 liters mostly urban conditions.

Theres also a lusty DMF and DPF which have destroyed people`s confidents in Diesel motors, unlike there mk8 2.2 without DMF.
