Best video to date, I followed all the instructions and make markers as needed and got the seals replaced in about an hour. Thank you so much for the Video.

i just did breh.. my 96 honda civic has a leak from the bottome if the distrubador u can see oil all the way dowb off the transmishion the tranny has all its oil but the engine seems to have less oil can this be the peoblem or might it be the oil cover gasket?
@MasterBenz035 жыл бұрын
Anyway sir...is that also a cause of hard starting?oil leakage?...

Very well and clearly filmed. Robot voice translation LOL . Did not mark position distributor position on engine. Since this is an OBD1 vehicle, put it back wrong and the engine won't start and you'll need to set the timing again. Also did not mark postion of "engine coupling" . you are advised to "remember position" better to mark both parts with a centre punch or scribe so there is no doubt when you put it back

I agree. I wonder how he set the timing after that.

SO what about adjusting the timing? The distributor housing appears to be slotted.

I think my distributor is the reason for the leaks. It is surrounded by motor oil.

Same here. Not sure what part to get for the seal. I went to autozone & the kit came with 2 seals. One 12.45 ID & one 12.5 ID. The OD of the seals seemed too large to seat in the cavity.

Is this a TEC distributor or a hitachi?
