Honda Civic Type R resonator delete

I had the first smaller resonator deleted last week in addition to the larger mid resonator and am finally happy with the sound. Gets a little boomy when you’re on the gas at highway speed but I wouldn’t call it drone.

Can you tell me which resonators you took out, middle or front or both? I'm guessing the rear resonator and mufflers were totally in tact? Best sound of any fk8 res delete I've heard and wanting to do the same, how is the drone? Thanks

Gareth Johnston The small front one and the larger mid resonator. I left the one in between the mufflers and the mufflers themselves. Just maybe some slight drone I only notice it when my wife and kids are in the car LOL. My recommendation would be to remove one and see how you like it and then remove the other for a little more sound.

R. Fantobasse There is a little drone. I only notice it when the radio is off. I would remove the bigger one first and see how you like it and then remove the smaller one if you want more sound.

And i delete all final silencer and there was à little drone when i deccelerate on highway. Only at this moment. But in stability speed nothing. So with type r the drone is constant right ? The drone is only when you’re on the gas accelerating.

Sorry Matthew, but you know thé diameter of origin exhaust, i have To put a connection tube between rear silencer and central tube without resonator. Impossible to find thé diameter. Thanks à lot.

He got rid of front and center resonator and the mufflers are still visible in the video

Yes because so far he only deleted the front and center resonators but deleting the two mufflers on the side and not including the center resonator would make this car extremely drone like and very noisy

No power loss. I don’t think the resonators contribute much to back pressure they are straight through.

@@Neadlemeyer it has no power loss what so ever the only time that would ever occur is doing a catless downpipe without a tune or swapping the 02 sensor
