Honda CR-V AWD Roller / Slip Test notes: In the first test where only one wheel has traction, turning TCS On or OFF has no impact. But as the test was more difficult: we recommend that you leave the gear selection in the D position, leave TCS ON, and hold it. If you turn TCS OFF, get ready for a smoke show or an AWD warning message. The CR-V required full throttle applied to get over some roller test. This test is made to show how the Real Time AWD will react under the hard circumstance and it doesn't change the fact that the CR-V is an awesome compact SUV. The 3 Wheel slip test failed since we had to roll on the rollers.

I had watched a video before that showed that he couldn't take off from the rear single wheel. I thought it was like this. Until I watch this video. Congratulations. Daha önce arka tek tekerden kalkış yapamadığını gösteren bir videoyu izlemiştim. Böyle olduğunu düşünüyordum. Bu videoyu izleyene kadar. Tebrikler.

Good choice! Haven’t heard of oil burning issue since the 2012 but people want to keep this in the spotlight…..kinda like COVID Subaru has a better AWD system. You’d be safe from the 2014 on. Newer ones are a beast. Especially outback wilderness.

Never liked the crv anyhow. Drive one and drive a pilot and it’s no comparison and not a huge difference in price. The Awd system on the pilot is noticeably better too, can see in real time which wheels are getting the torque and it has no hesitation or delayed response

I’ve always liked Hondas, but it seems kind of Like “ let’s have the system send 1.1% of the drive to the rear wheels, so that it will be totally useless but we can still legally say it’s AWD.“

Would this system be of use in heavy rains and such when you hit a patch of rain on your right wheel , if the system take s a bit to beside to activate? vs a system like Subaru where it's active all the time.
@sdfasdfvccvvc3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the video, looks like it's yet another light duty AWD system, it is not even programmed to quickly brake spinning wheels and overheats easily. Honda could've just added special mode where the program would brake the free spinning wheels faster, pretty disappointing that they did not do even this.

Crv is not an offroad vehicle. So the awd system is more than enough for what it is.
@haroldbeauchamp37703 жыл бұрын
Wrong. Honda’s all wheel drive system is dead last in terms of performance. Literally ever other manufacturer has a better all wheel drive system. The test shows how easy it would be to get stuck if you were in sand or snow. Here on the Gulf Coast, we have awd SUV’s and crossovers for beach driving. Much like the north have awd for snow. This awd system would be almost useless. Loose sand would render this system inoperable in reverse.
