Honda CRF300L Rally Side Racks Install

The Honda CRF300L and it's sibling the CRF300L Rally are supremely capable little dual sport adventure bikes. In this video I will walk you through installing Outback Motortek's Side Racks on the 2021 Honda CRF300L Rally. The Honda CRF300L and CRF300L Rally both need good side racks for any serious fully loaded long distance adventure. In this installation I will show you how to solve the problem of a left side passenger peg that refuses to cooperate. I will also show you how easy it is to take along for some extra fuel, water or supplies by installing an X-Frame on your side racks. Combined with a top rack, top case and some side bags the Honda CRF300L Rally can take you anywhere. This Honda CRF300L Side Racks Install is a great place to start.

The top box that you demonstrated (Plano). Is that something from fishing equipment? Will it contain a helmet? How do you fasten, drill bolt holes? I appreciate your series for CRF300L Rally. If mine ever arrives this will be very helpful. Has been ordered for a year. Thank you.

So the Plano utility box I used is too small for a helmet, but it works great for the items that I want to keep easily accessible... without digging through my saddlebags. Nice video. You have a windscreen. Very hard to find for the CRF300L, what I have. Where did you get yours?

Hi, after mounting the luggage rack, do you have to disassemble everything to remove the saddle? Thanks

So, to remove the saddle just take out one bolt on each side as you would if there was no rack. Be careful not to drop your spacers and shoulder washers. When it's time to put the saddle back on, loosening the top rack back two bolts let's you pivot the rack up out of your way while wiggling those shoulder washers and spacers back into place. Have to say Honda could do a lot better to make seat and air filter access easier. Reinstalling this seat is more finicky than it needs to be thanks to those shoulder washers ...hope that helps...Thanks!
