Not sure if you've installed the hood yet or not, but I trimmed a tiny section of the hood webbing, and you literally cannot even tell unless I pointed it out to you. It was the small section right at the timing belt side of the valve cover. I can send photos if you are interested in seeing, since the JDM hood will not fit your front end without swapping many other parts.

Yeah I'd love to see what you did. I'm using my USDM good with Hasport bseries mount and don't have any clearance issues that I can tell so far. But I really like the look of the JDM hood and may go that route in the future, since my hood is a bit bent on the driver side where the hood prop is.

@@MakeItSo You’ll need the front bumper, t-bracket, bumper lights, headlights, and hood. The bumper lights are about $600-700/set by themselves these days. Do you have Instagram?

Just finished watching all the videos on this install. Well done. I am planning the exact B16 swap on my ‘88 CRX HF. Excellent content and I didn’t have to wade through cheap language and backyard shortcuts. My favorite parts were the D16 alternator pulley swap and the harness comparisons and your logical approach to which harness to use. Thank you!

Thanks for the comments! I think I read that the HF has smaller wheel hubs/axle splines that the Si. So you might have to convert to Si hubs to have more (or more common) axle choices when doing the swap. But please don't quote me on that I think I remember reading something about the HF hubs.

@@MakeItSo Yeah, I’m not sure on the axles and sizes, but when I purchased the B16, it came with the LSD trans, shift linkage, cpu AND axles! I guess I’ll find out. I’ll do right, no matter what comes my way. 👍

Congratulations on the first start, great milestone to reach! I really like your pace and the depth you go into things, it's just right. This video answered a lot of questions I had myself, currently working on a B18 swap into an EE and it's my first time doing anything like it.. Thanks for filming and putting this up!

This is my first time doing it too. I probably have 100+ hours of reading forum posts and watching other youtube videos to learn it all. Just trying to fill in the gaps for others. Thanks for watching!

Congrats on the swap, done very nicely, especially the alternator. Hated that I push my frame rail in. I actually had the to do the same exact thing with the injectors, I used the d16a6 and she fired right up. Now it’s time to enjoy all your hard work👍

Ha! That's crazy you had to swap your injectors too. I felt so robbed in the fact that I actually got everything right for it to fire up on first turn of the key but the damn injectors were crusty. Thanks for watching as always!

Bro...just found your channel...wow. Retro games and a CRX too. It's like you're my doppelganger or vice versa. You even kind of look like me it's scary. Very nice car and great work/production.

Haha thanks for watching! There's definitely a crossover between people who grew up with these cars in the 90's when arcades were life. I'm just trying to sooth myself with Nostalgia and make some fun projects. Hopefully more stuff to come soon. Thank you!

I have a jdm b16a crx si as well. Do you have any pictures you would be willing to share of the vacuum lines on the intake manifold? Assuming you still have the car lol

Hi mate! I’m from australia and have followed your install and done a swap myself based on your vids. I have a question. Vtec pressure has 2 wires, one wire comes out of the ecu, the other wire you just grounded out? I’ve grounded mine but is still coming up with a cel code for vtec solenoid. And no vtec when driving. :( Just wanted to confirm you did the same as I couldn’t find it in your Video. Any helps appreciated. Thanks

Correct. You can ground it to any point on the motor/chassis I believe. I have mine grounded at one of the bolts that secures the clutch cable bracket to the transmission. It's sounds like you might have the wires switched? I know when I was researching my swap it was unclear to me which was ground and which went to ecu by the colors alone ( I had seen pictures online both ways). I wonder if there are region specific differences for the wire colors? Let me know how it turns out, sounds like you're close! Glad some of my videos helped.

Double check your vtec oil pressure switch and vtec solenoid wire are in the right ecu pins first, I just read that sometime people confuse then and no vtec.

I got it from a place called JDM California Motors. They had 3 to choose from and I picked the one with an LSD in the trans. Turns out I picked the motor with an overall bad transmission. These videos are released with some delay and I've since had to have the transmission rebuilt and LSD replaced. Also, my head gasket seems to be leaking. So buyer beware, but more future youtube content i guess.... I'd try HMO if you're looking for a motor, they seem to have the best reputation.
