In this video I install a nebula themed fabric onto an 03-06 Element headliner, then add a compact 16w twinkle light engine, and 570 fiber optic lights. Not for everyone but we thought it would be cool in our shop Element.

Hands down this is the best diy mod for the element I’ve seen anywhere

Thanks. It took a lot of work, but I’d do it again if a customer wanted it down. Just wouldn’t be cheap lol

Incredible, that must require some real persistence that I don’t think I have, but wow the end result looks well worth it.

Thanks. It definitely is an eye catcher, but requires about a week or so of your life lol.

Love it. Would you do another short video on where you installed the light itself?
@classicautomotivenc3 ай бұрын
I used a compact 16W twinkle light engine that was only about 3”x 3”. I placed the light engine between the dome light and the overhead storage bin. I also zip tied the power cord to the light engine itself leaving enough slack so it wouldn’t bind but enough tension so it would not accidentally disconnect. On the Element, there was just enough room to tuck the light engine there and it not be in a bind.

@@classicautomotivenc awesome. I want to do this and assumed I'd have to have it somewhere in the rear and showing. Good to see this can be stealth.
@classicautomotivenc3 ай бұрын
@@jamesn.4892 definitely. But you do need the compact light engine.

Is yours an lx? I see the overhead storage in the after video but not before?
@classicautomotivenc2 ай бұрын
I actually added the overhead storage with an EX headliner and overhead bin. My Element is a DX. But I wanted map lights. Worked out great
@zxtuner4lyfe2 ай бұрын
@Sgtpeppr65 ok, so you got the headliner and the console both out of an ex? Just to clarify.

Hello, thanks for the information, i am a DIYer and i have an element… Does this crv shock work if i am lowering the car. I know that a B8 is intended for shortest springs, anything i should look out for.
@classicautomotivenc2 ай бұрын
If you are lowering the vehicle, then I recommend using BC Racing coil overs instead of Bilsteins, as they will more effectively lower the car and are made specifically for Elements. Whereas the Bilsteins are made for a CRV and indeed raise the vehicle in the rear because of the spring perch location.
