Well, it's done, but just my two bits. I would have removed the welded on nut on the shock, welded on two plates and jig-drill new holes and then you would not have had to ream out the mount on the scooter. It would have been faster, if you had access to a good welder, maybe an hour for both shocks.

Mitch .. I love the videos and was looking to know if on the rear swingarm the seal goes on from inside with the bearing next and then the seal? Because when I ordered online BOTH were identical seals when the diameter is clearly different on the outside. ? This is the most unusual thing I ever seen unless a glitch with the wrong seal part numbers?

why didnt you just use a longer bolt? that engine bushing mount will fail with that tiny inner steel sleeve you drilled out. it put more stress on that rubber to hold the 350 shock... why not the cb 250? or the helix aftermarket shock?

Use Honda Helix front shocks. They fit all Elite 125, 150, & 250. Get them on ebay or Helixparts USA.

I used Kymco Like 200 rear shocks on mine, almost a direct swap. Just had to swap the upper bushings over.

It didn't push the real wheel down too much and hit the ground? Elites have 12 3/4" eye to eye, and these are 13 1/8". Still work?

zero drill solution: use honda helix rear shocks instead of a cb 350. helix frame was bigger... so bigger shock. same engine mount as 250 elite on the shock
