DO NOT STORE YOUR GENERATOR WITH FUEL. Drain the fuel out, drain the float bowl out too. I drain all the gas out of my Honda EU2200i, gas cap off and float bowl off the carb. I let it sit one for day, insuring all the fumes are gone before I put the carb back together. I then drain the oil and replace it with new oil. I take the spark plug out and pour a little oil on top of the piston. This insurance a better start when needed. When Milton hit, I pulled my generator out and filled it up with 93 octane. Pulled one time and it started...............When storing my generator, I put it back in the box it came in and store it in my pantry.
