Honda GCV 190 how to clean and install carburetor.

Todays video I show you how to fix and repair your Simpson Brand Pressure washer. This pressure washer has a Honda GCV 190 for an engine and its a solid engine to have and it was weird that the TUBE was clogged and not the jet, but hey you see all sorts of stuff when you bust open a Carburetor. Thank you all for watching this video. I dont know why Honda makes there crabs so hard to get on and off but hey I show you how I do it and its not that hard to be honest.

Thanks for this! I can rebuild an automatic transmission but small engine repair was some voodoo I didn’t want to touch. Till I borrowed my neighbors washer and kept it for a year and it stopped running. I also had a clogged emulsion tube & jet. Soaked in a cup full of carb cleaner and then cleaned with a welder tip cleaner tool. I also replaced the bowl gasket with a more rubber style o-ring that Amazon said fit the 190. No leaks & runs like a champ. Thanks!!!!!

About that rubber washer…it ain’t rated for fuel & swelled & leaked. Went with the paper gasket & we’re good to go again.

Good video! If any of you guys have ever worked on the new Honda GC series engines they are much easier to deal with. You can take the filter box and the carburetor off without the rest of the junk falling off. Honda finally made these more like the GX engines with the carburetors.

The other hole of the thing???? Didn't show which was the correct hole so I guess I'll figure it out when I take the old carb off. The shut off valve at the hose; great idea. Couldn't get the emulsion tube out. Installed new $26 carb.

I am thinking that is what happened seeing how the choke was on the wrong hole and was not factory when I worked on it

Hey there, wondering if you could help me and give me some insight?? I have a GCV 190 Troy Bilt xp series pressure washer. It stopped running and wouldn't start. I first changed the spark plug, nothing. I ordered a new carburetor swapped it out and nothing. I changed the fuel line, nothing. I saw fuel flow, the spark plug was sparking, oil is full. I have no idea why it won't start. Any thoughts???

I did one of these recently and when I unbolted it, everything fell apart so I couldn't tell which way the thick plastic spacer faced. On one side the opening is just round, and on the other, it tapers out. Can someone tell me which side faces the carb? Is there an exploded diagram showing the order of gaskets and spacers I can view online?

I could only push the tube down until the top was flush with the carb throat, then back up to original position. Repeated many times, but couldn’t get it the rest of the way out. I tapped in a 5/64” Hanson screw extractor in from the bottom and pulled it out.

Yeah getting this out will be fun. Wish you showed that. This is definitely me issue. Found this washer on the side of the road and I have fixed many chainsaws but this is a new one. Good video thanks for the info.
