Only a idle do I hear this but under throttle it goes away until I’m approaching a stop or stop all together! Any help for me?

How much “lash” do you have in your rear tire? I know some is normal. When I did this clutch cleaning, I noticed some forward and back play in the wheel. Gear lash. Not side to side. How much is normal?

After I cleaned it it shook for a little bit till it got seated in again. I clean it about every 3000 miles or so

What grid sandpaper are you using ?

80 I think but any sandpaper will work 60 80 120

Hey Tony... So, I'm hearing this weird noise, and I think it's coming from the clutch (I'm not a mechanic and don't know much about this stuff, hahaha). But when I accelerate past 30 mph or if there's a headwind pushing against the bike, I hear this kind of grrrrrr sound coming from the transmission. Any idea what it might be or what I should check when I take it apart? thank u and greetings from Argentina.

Check the springs in the rear clutch and check rollers in front clutch for flat spots thanks for watching

When I park my 2007 helix with 14,000 miles, I smell burned rubber. I have a tow pac training wheel kit on it. What is a likely source of the burned rubber smell? I have a new rear tire and belt for it.

Ya it’s possible I guess did u watch the belt cover noise video. I had a click clack but mine was a belt cover Making noise. Is your rubber gasket still on the belt cover?

Hey Tony, I have a question. I purchased a new clutch variator and I am not able to compress it to the belt in. I mean it won't move at all. Any suggestions. Thanks.

You could use a carpenter clamp make sure there is rubber pads on the clamps. Maybe a neighbor could help?

So I have a weird whining sound and clacking sound coming from what seems to be the clutch from outside the housing cover. and when my back wheel is off the ground and on the stand if I turn my wheel, it clicks. Click click click click! What could this be?What could this be.

Not real sure on that. Take the rear clutch apart and see if anything is loose

Might be play in the final drive gears. And there is a seal on the shaft that might be dry and whining. Does it do it going down the road?

Phew, just in time. I tried and failed to do this over this past weekend. I don't have a proper auto impact wrench, only a woodworking type that wasn't able to free the nut. I wondered if maybe the threads were reversed or something, but I see here that they aren't, I just wasn't working with enough power.

I am having the same problem even though I am using an impact wrench. No idea why the nut wouldn’t come loose.

@@1tonysgarage yes. It is. Maybe it’s not strong enough of a torque? I am using 1/2 20V impact wrench from Kimo. I have tried heating it with a torch for a good 2 mins but no cigar. Maybe the last mechanic put them on with a pneumatic impact wrench!! You have any other idea?

@@minhtrietle if u have a way to transport it to a auto shop take the belt cover off take it to a shop and ask a mechanic if they would use there impact and get the nut loose
