Honda Helix Oil Change
This is a 2001 but this procedure will work with all the US models 1986-2007. Really easy to change the oil on the Honda Helix. You have a center stand, no oil filter to replace and I completed the oil change without removing any panels.
You will need:
-.85 quarts of oil
-17mm socket or wrench.
Torque values:
Oil Drain Plug 14-18 ft-lb
Oil Filter Screen cap 13-16 ft-lb
Note: my oil filter cover was stripped so I replaced it. You dont normally change that cover. I used some universal Honda crush washers and I hope they work. I will check for leaks as I use it.

Just got one at yard sale been sitting for a couple of years according to the owner paid $500.00 took it home cleaned the gas tank out , new battery and it started up. It does stall a little on take off so I replaced the spark plug and changed the oil . I've been using it around town and it gets great gas mileage. It's my daily driver now best money spend.

Good video as always I had to replace the oil filter cover on mine also because the prior owner rounded the nut edges off, but I finally managed to remove it with locked on vice grips. Because several of my vehicles require an odd oil level capacity I'm in the habit of once I finally reach the proper level after running the motor and re-checking it a couple of times I take a marker pen and draw a line across the clear vertical oil level sight on the side of the container and mark the container as that vehicle (Helix, Mower, etc.) and save the container on a shelf so the remaining oil can be used to top off if any is needed until the next oil change, just transfer that pen mark over to a new full container and just re-fill the oil level to that same amount during the next oil change and it will be spot on accurate the 1st time.

Torque settings for both bolts (according to the 1986-2007 CN250 service manual I ordered) is Oil Drain Bolt - 15-18 ft/lbs and for the Oil Strainer Screen Cap is 13-16 ft/lbs.

Thanks for your help.

if your talking about the rubber o-ring, you can find that on amazon and ebay. Let me know if you need a direct link. As far as cleaning the screen, I just wipe it down. Just make sure it doesnt have dirt or anything blocking the screen.

My oil filter cap was too tight and the 17mm socket I used (6 sided) seemed a tiny bit too large and was starting to round out the edges. I now use a 21/32 socket which is a perfect fit. I ordered from Amazon. It seems Honda made the filter cap a tiny bit too small as there is too much play with the 17mm socket. The filter cap was perfectly fine before I started to loosen it. 21/32 is equal to approximately a 16-1/2mm socket.
