Just got one - let my 12 YO ride it in the yard all day. Now it won't start and run. Put 93 Octane in it. It runs for 1-2 seconds and won't take any throttle, then dies. Previously would do 70 MPH and ran perfect. I'm thinking I should start by checking fuel flow, look at filter. I already gently tapped on the carb to possibly un-stick a float. Suggestions ?? Thanks in advance !

Might be the snorkel make sure it is all hooked up. Could have hit a bump and it fell off. And yes check fuel filter. Thanks for watching

@@1tonysgarage Well, I found the fuel filter completely packed-up with rust from the tank ! It screws into a USA-sourced electric fuel pump and I will be adding a clear lawnmower filter rather than trying to drop the tank and do a proper clean-out. The white snorkel is missing - it has a cheesy POD set-up.

Nice, when my helix sits for 2 weeks and I try to start it ,it seems like it's not getting gas ,I used starting fluid last time does that seem right or is it fuel pump

Sound like could be have u changed fuel filter? Next time it won’t start pull fuel line off and turn key on. See if gas comes out. If not try starting it see if fuel comes out. If yes it is a carb problem

I found out that my helix is running rich and it’s causing misses. Do you have a video for adjusting the mixture, and will I need a vacuum gauge?

No don’t have video on that. I do have a video on jetting the carburetor. The mixture screw is almost impossible to get to. You might just put smaller jets in it. Thanks for watching

I don’t have the center hump piece off. You need that off and you will see lines and tank
