Just found this video because I downsized from my 2001 yukon slt to a crv 5spd. I'll be following the channel for this build. Great job with the video.

For some reason, the video at the end feels like it was cut short. lol no closing or putting things back together. Is there a second part to it? or thats it?

That cheap amazon stuff is a great deal, but doesn't last long. I'd rather spend 3x as much and have to replace them less. That said, half the parts are stull good from my experince, but it's a low-milage crx that weighs half as much. I found mevotech ultimate parts to be good price/performance mix. Also: Beware, a few of the moog parts straight up dont fit. If it's suddenly knocking over bumps, make sure your front swaybar links aren't too big and hitting the lower control arms. If having to fix stuff sucks, having to do it twice really blows.

Nice job! 👊 screw that inner tire rod boot 🤣!
@doubleclutchin68602 жыл бұрын
Good content bro. The inner tie-rod tool makes the job done easy and less headache. 👍 At one point I want to join the SCCA auto crossing but I chose drifting. Wanna do straight trade wheels? Advan RG3 for the Work VS? 😁

Have you driven it yet? I’m about to install the same kit… and I’m curious how you rate the quality/ride…?
From what I can gather from your other vids… you bent the upper control arms while pushing the car, then you ended up replacing with the TruHart upper control arm/ball joint…? I won’t be racing/pushing my ride, more of a daily driver rig. All the other components seem to hold up ok? (Ball joints, sway bar end links, inner & outer tie rods), or have you swapped those out already as well? @@Donnythelatemodeltech

Hey Donny you have any videos on replacing wheel bearing on the crv?
@Donnythelatemodeltech Жыл бұрын

@braniygold Жыл бұрын
@Donnythelatemodeltech all good, would you recommend replacing the wheel bearing it self or with the wheel hub with it?
@Donnythelatemodeltech Жыл бұрын
@braniygold just depends on cost. At work I reuse 50% of the hubs... its just a little more time and energy.
@braniygold Жыл бұрын
Got it, yeah it's hard to find a complete hub assembly but I'll try press out the bearing and change out the hub.
@Donnythelatemodeltech Жыл бұрын
@braniygold yeah, they're usally sold separately if they are the press in type. So , having a new hub will save you from cutting and pressing old bearing Collars off the old hub. Just depends on cost usally.

What happened to those adjustable front upper control arms you got for a 96 civic? Did they end up being junk? Are adjustable ones needed when lowering an RD1? I just bought my first ever honda, a 97 rd1 :)
@Donnythelatemodeltech2 жыл бұрын
They junk
@nobodynoone25002 жыл бұрын
It helps to have camber correction, but you can use spacers to do it safely if you are cheap. If you get adjustable suspension stuff, buy quality, your life literally rides on it.
