開発中止となった幻のNSXは当時V10だと噂されていました。しかしながら、レース専用車であるHSV010はV10ではなくV8。当時のGT500レギュレーションでは3.4リッターV8自然吸気エンジンのみ搭載が認められていました。

そんな裏事情があったなんて！！(゜ロ゜ノ)ノ やはりレギュレーションでV８になったんですか(汗) 新型NSXに恨みはなく新しくて近未来的ですがやはりNSX先代の後期型に乗っていた事もありデザインの変わりすぎに耐えられなかったみたいです(T▽T) HSVもそれなりに違いますがSGTの車両が実際に販売されてる車だっただけにHSVだけが消えたのは残念でした(T-T) 基調な情報ありがとうございました✨

At first I thought this was just an old Ferrari F1 V12 sound pasted over the video... the first clip of it going WOT past the camera and down the front straight sounds really similar to a sound clip that's all over youtube of the Ferrari V12. They were gonna run it at Nurburgring. They were on a warm-up lap when a caliper got stuck. They tried to get it off but didn't have the right tools. Honda, being Honda, forgot the Torx.

@murphe777 Just to clarify. The dopler effect has nothing to do with amplitude or 'weakness' of sound. It affects frequency. The sound waves are bunched up if the object is traveling towards you and will reach you in quicker succession ergo a higher frequency and higher pitched sound. As the object travels away the sound waves leave the object at a lower rate of speed and reach you in slower succession ergo a lower pitch.

Detuned 3.4L V8 500HP @ 10300RPM Naturally Aspirated Engine from Formula Nippon. The HSV - 010 is a not a MR layout car, but a FR layout. Technology for suspension is the SUPER GT NSX suspension tech. Has a oversteering issue. A driver commented that it was hard to drive becuase of the oversteering

They used to use engines based off their production engines, but for the last year or two the rules have changed so they all need to make a new race-only V8 engine that gets used in multiple racing series. Makes the cars closer and cheaper since the engines are used for more than just Super GT.

it should be in production....rules for the Jap super GT series says only production cars can enter so if honda managed to get this car in that means they have to be getting it ready for production

3.4L 90° V8 32 Valve V8 DOHC. (93mm bore, 62.5mm stroke). Undersquare design, short piston travel allows for high RPM, generating high pitched "F1" or "I-4 Sportbike" sound. Engine sounds like it operates in the 10,000-16,000rpm powerband. Car weighs 2400lbs, constant mesh tranny allows no-lift shifts w/ paddle shifters.
