I recently got one of these, and I took to it like a duck to water. I live in London (nightmare traffic) and need it for work every day so I've used a big scooter (500cc) to get about - which was ok - ish on motorways, but I needed a bit more oomph. So this Honda works perfectly for traffic & motorways. I've also had an Aprilia Caponord etv 1000. Fantastic bike for long distance touring, but a right handful in the city. Conclusion = this bike fits my needs perfectly. Easy to use in town traffic, fine on the motorway, so what's not to like.

Use the paddle gears if you want to have the gear change thrill in corners. It goes back to automatic straight away if you set it up that way. Also sports mode on its own I find it changes gears at the correct times. I have 4 bikes, this has become my go to bike.

Hi Andy thanks for checking out the review. Yes you are right about the paddle gears, they can be used that way but I find difficult to get used to riding this way and it doesn't feel a natural way to ride for me. I find the sport 2 setting is the best for me personally and suits my style of riding. Like you I do think its a great bike that is such a good versatile all rounder and people tend to dismiss it before even giving it a chance. Ride safe.

@@BikeRiderReviews Yes I am a sport 2 setting person as well. Do try the paddle gears on twisties though, when you want a bit of extra fun, you will get used to it. My other alternative is sport mode 3 on twisties. Many years of safe riding. Andy

I'm planing to take my motorcycle license next year. My question is "would you recommend this bike for a beginner"? I'm 43 and don't want to go super fast, just enjoy to ride on weekends or in the future go on long road trips. I'm looking for dct bikes.

Nice to mention where you got the after market accessories from.
@BikeRiderReviews
@BikeRiderReviews 4 жыл бұрын
Hi thanks for checking out the review. I have not given information on the accessories as I did not fit them to the bike. All the accessories were either fitted to the bike or came in a box of spare parts with the bike when I bought it. However I usually use e-bay, Amazon or Ali-express for all of my bike parts for all of my bikes. Before I buy I always check the seller feedback section to make sure they are a reputable company with good customer service and if it is an expensive after market part I will look for reviews on KZbin. Ride safe.

Hi thanks for checking out the review. I have an on the road test on the channel where I take the bike out and go through all the different ways the bike can be used. After riding manual bikes for such a long time I still find it unnatural to use the buttons on the handlebars to select gears when travelling at speed through the bends but you are quite right that the bike can be ridden in this way. Ride safe 👍

Thanks for checking out the video. It depends on the length of your legs, I have a 34 inch inside leg and was able to cope with the standard bike fine. The weight of the bike should be no problem. If you find the standard bike too high you can buy a Lust lowering kit from ebay which is cheap and very easy to fit, there are lots of video on how to do this on KZbin.

@@dbndbn9279 you may find the standard bike a little high, a lot depends on how experienced you are with bigger bikes, the only way to tell is take a test ride on one.

When I put a lowering kit on mine made a big difference try it it does work and it doesn't make the bike any different angling wise none whatsoever.🙂

That’s a bike I won’t be riding. I take your point about the bike insisting on you riding “properly” to make the gears work properly but frankly on a manual gearbox you can do that if you choose to or you can hook about and not be punished by the gear box. Frankly Mr Honda can f*** off and stuff this bike Into room 101 with the vtec VFR. Instead of loading their machines with nanny hardware they should build a normal bike and save 40kgs off the kerb weight. At 224kg it’s a lardy 750. Even the new VFRs are around 240kg. That’s the weight my 1981 CB900F2 was without all the modern weight saving materials. And that held enough fuel to get you 250 miles between fills.

Hi thanks for checking out the review. As I say in a lot of my reviews we are all different poeple and riders and we all look for different things in bikes which is why I allways say the only way to truly review a bike is ride it for yourself. I guess the world be a boring place if we all liked the same thing. Ride Safe.

@@BikeRiderReviews Exactly, one man's trash is another man's treasure. I listened to everyone rave about the Tracer 900 and bought one but never fell in love with it and now have my eye on one of these. Like others have said I'm not a racer and don't care about speed, a bike is a means to explore for me and this looks like the perfect machine for that, for me.
