After a long wait, I finally decided on an aftermarket seat for the Honda Rebel. We did an install along with @AdoboMotoRice (follow his IG!) and got to take our first look on the quality and build of this mini step up style seat. Will it be comfortable enough for the long rides? What handlebar risers did you use?

Chimera risers. They replace the stock ones. I dont have vids putting the cables unfortunately. But the good thing is the extended cables come in kits now when ordering online.

Do the risers fit all year models I got a 2023 rebel 500 but unsure if they are the same or not ?

@@seanmcgregor8385 Yes, the Chimera Risers are Built for the Rebel 300s and the Rebel 500s. They will fit.

Hi Slight! It's a tough comparison with this and the mustang, I'm tied up because the mustang is definitely thicker and if we add the cost factor also higher in cost and that would also be if the person were to buy the mustang passenger seat as well. this one the rider seat is not as thick as the Mustang but it does include the passenger which is as thick as the mustang one. I'll def do a long term review later on, and this one really hugs the butt. haha 😁

Does that rear bracket that screws into the rear fender mess up the paint on the rear fender? I tried a two up seat and when I tightened the bolt to the fender, the screws on the bracket pressed into the paint on the fender.

I remember worrying about this the first time I put a pullion. So when i first was about to install a rear passenger, i went to Home Depot first to buy black rubber washers. That way that Tab and the Rear Fender don't ever touch. Because I knew it would scratch the paint. Bring that rear Bolt to Home Depot or your Local Hardware store and find rubber washers that fit around that bolt. 💯😁

How about the weight of the back rider? Once you install the new seat extender. Have any support from the chassis?

Yeah there is, because the back still sits where the other honda pillion passenger seat would be. So it's still on the tail chassy. It's just waayyy better now because it's thicker leather, a bit more cushioning than the small oem one from Honda.

@@MrRod-mm6or Oh shoot most definitely Mr Rod! I love the seat. I probably did 4kmiles on the stock seat before even changing it and I've had long rides as well to where my ass and lower back was hurting afterwards, but This seat is way more comfortable. Especially for the passenger because the passenger pillion is super hard. It's a tiny bit wider too that I've noticed and the step up part of it just hugs your seating more. Also it's a good cost compared to the big name ones. It's also a thumbs up on the aesthetics side of it. 😁 I'll probably make an update video as well.

@@michaelwoody24 i love it. It's also a bit wider than stock. Ive had the stock for 2 years of riding and even long rides and for a long duration it does tend to hurt my ass and lower back. This mini step up seat is comfortable for me AND the passenger part of it. And aesthetically looks great too. I should do a review on the seat sometime.
