That thing pulls so well and smooth for a 1992 car with 200 horses! My dad always raved about this car now I see why. I've been seeing more and more Legend videos pop up. Even Ludacris loves his like mentioned in the video which was funny.

Ted -- Regarding the volume knob (3:00), it was a very common feature on very high-end audio equipment during the late '80s and early '90s for the main volume knob to rotate when the volume was changed via remote. I suspect it started as a technical limitation, in that the volume knob was connected directly to an analog component that controlled the volume, and the only way to command the volume by remote was indirectly, by triggering a motor that turned the knob. However, it became a "look-how-cool-this-is" feature in an era defined by doing cool-but-complex-and-expensive stuff just because you *can* (no doubt cocaine had *something* to do with it), particularly with electronics. I've therefore suspect that Honda was trying to associate itself with ultra-premium-ness by including a feature that was common on the kind of audio equipment owned by people who drove BMWs and Benzes.

So many things to dissect in this video; 1: When I was graduating high school in 2003, the '92 Legend Manual Coupe was one of my attainable dream cars, along with the early 90s Mercedes 190E 2.3 and the 88 Porsche 944 Turbo S (the latter has shot way up in value) 2: I always hated thoae entrances on the Merritt Parkway, the Saw Mill River Parkway also has several entrances where you have to stop before you can enter the parkway, 3: I used to love driving on the Merritt Parkway. I also used to love driving on the Bronx River Parkway, especially around the turns leading into White Plains.. Those parkways just got too crowded with traffic over time. It's sad that there's so few places on the map where you can truly enjoy driving a car.
