@@seb_1504 I had a 2020 Honda civic sport 6 speed and it just didn’t run we’ll slow acceleration and engine was loud af, I traded it in got a 2023 toyota Camry LE 8 speed automatic, more power 2.5Lengine love it more, got sport mode everything and paddle shift. With amazing mpg dealership filled it up for me from 25 miles to now 200 and still over half a tank

I got my 2022 Civic Touring last October, it’s amazing, although it’s over 37K but for the highest trim level, turbo/gas engine (economy-normal & sport driving modes), leather seats (front ones heated), built-in GPS (for 5 years), 9-inches HD touch-screen, wireless charging / Apple Car Play & Android Auto, 12 Bose speakers, blind-spot info system, all Honda Safety Systems/Sensors (front & back bumpers + windshield + front radar sensor), power sunroof, LED headlights with Auto-High Beam at night, remote-garage opening buttons (under rear-view mirror), electric seat adjustments, pedestrians sensors (forward & backward), LKA, full adaptive cruise control with slow-follow / stop, 18-inch sports wheels …… and much more .. the new shape looks great and the performance is impressive with a 27+ mpg in city

It was awesome meeting Scotty and we appreciate him doing a video on our car😊. We actually faired better than alot of people paying the market adjustment value above MSRP. We ended up around $60k, because of the wheel and tire warranty, plus two additional accessory packages and the dealer option carbon fiber wing. 😉

That's a great color and you actually faired pretty well. My local dealer wanted $60,777, on a MSRP of $44,385 ('23 Model in Boost Blue). Most dealers in Nor Cal wanted $65k+. The '23 models have both the engine & transmissions built in Japan. Nice cargo mat too 🙂

Well worth the price, just the LogR alone is worth a lot, the rims designed specifically for that car, the Ricarro seats designed specifically for it too. On top of that onlu 1600 will be in the US. Collection car easily, not to mention it’s the LAST GAS ONLY TYPE R that will be produced .

I saw one for sticker price a while back with like 6 dudes camping out at the dealership. The car was sold the night before, and someone in a pick-up with an enclosed trailer took it home. From the showroom floor right into the trailer, not even a test drive. My guess is 5 years from now, that Type R with 4 miles on it, will definitely go for a 6 figure price. Most I've seen from a dealer was $82000. Fun Fact: 2023 Civic Type R was dyno tested at 327HP at the wheels. A good reason as to why Scotty was really thrilled while driving that Type R.

I have a 2014 Ford Focus ST that I bought new. It has over 170,000 miles on it. The key to driving a turbo car without problems is as Scotty said CHANGE THE OIL REGULARLY. Don't cheap out on oil changes. These types of cars are very rough riding. Low profile wheels and rubber band tires. You get good handling but my family doesn't ride with me as our other car is marsh mellow smooth. His advice on road hazard insurance for the tires and wheels is also spot on. I buy tires from Discount Tire and I always buy the warranty. My four month old tire that I just bought got damaged and could not be repaired. It is being replaced free of charge. The downside is that tires for these cars are HARD to get. I am using my spare right now as a replacement tire is being shipped across the country. It is taking a week to get the new tire. Rare cars come with rare tires and parts. I once had my car in the shop for 2 weeks in December of 2014 waiting for brake pads (warranty work). Fortunately the aftermarket stepped up and now brake pads can be found - but they must be ordered and are never in stock. Big brake cars like these also chew up rotors. I buy the best quality I can get and they last 2 cycles with one turning before they go out of spec. I do my own pads. Scotty is also correct that when you have one of these type of cars you drive it HARD. Since Ford discontinued the Fiesta ST the Honda Civic Type R may be my next car. I'll wait till my ST gets to 200,000 miles before I switch and I better get on the waiting list now because it looks like a 2 year wait is in store. I hate automatics and love driving my 6 speed manual.

I have a Civic SI with low profile tires. Ran over a pot hole and the guy at Discount Tires told me the rim is cracked and wanted to sell me 4 new ones. So I ordered a new rim from Honda which cost $500. But came to find out the guy lied and just wanted to sell me new rims. And I couldn’t return the rim. It is unethical how Discount Tires operate.

Fun fact, I bought wheel/tire insurance on my 2017 FK8 Type R and a valet curbed them. The insurance wouldn’t cover the replacement of the wheel. They insisted on me going after the valet company for it. Never again. On a better note, because many people replace stock wheels for like volks or other aftermarket, there was always a plentiful affordable amount of replacements available.

@@123Rockchild I was going to buy a Rav, my last car was a 2010 Rav, but all the Ravs below the XLE premium felt....ehh. If I could afford a higher trim hybrid I would have gotten that.

We all know Scotty's opinion on turbochargers. However.. Change the oil every 5-6000 miles and the Turbo will be just fine. Mine are. The one on my son's Rover 62Oti now showing 240,000 reliable miles. For those stateside who are not familiar with Rover's 620ti, it was Rover's version of the UK Accord with Rover's 2 litre T-Series turbocharged engine.
