Great video and a belt wrench would hold that clutch still whilst you torque the nuts up and WD40 or meths inside that outer casing with a blast of compressed air would of cleaned that in a fraction of the time. As I say, very engaging and thorough video. What on earth were Honda thinking!

One tip the gasket behind the oil centrifugal filter must be good, if its damaged the oil filter will not work. The newer Honda Cubs also have a oil filter, but the centrifugal system is superior to a oil filter.

The centrifuge filter is not better in my opinion It removes heavy particles ok but not the smaller most abrasive particles That's why the oil change interval is only 630 miles or 1000 km On the 2023 with cartridge filter we only change oil every 4000 miles And with much less effort

You have to change the oil more often, but the oil filter needs to be replaced every 36000 km, IIRC. The centrifugal filters are better at filtering very fine particles and are used in very expensive machines as well.
