Honda Valkyrie winter test ride

I work at a bike dealership in South Dakota (home of Sturgis, so I've truly seen everything) and no bikes EVER have as many miles as the Goldwings and Valkyries. Saw a Valk with 400,000! The Valkyrie has a slightly beefed up Goldwing Flat 6 and with pipes they sound like a classic V8 or even supercar depending on the set up. Very fast for their size and supremely reliable. Truly world class.

Nice Valky, you have the same Viking panniers on it as I have on mine. They look great. The bike feels quite different to ride at first but as you get to be comfortable with it you will grow to love it more and more. Biggest issue is leaking Petcock seals allowing fuel to seep into the cylinders and causing massive problems at start up. There is lots of information on this subject available on line. Timing belts also need to be in good condition (preferably replaced recently) Most people who are lucky enough to own and ride a Valky never sell them as they are unique and adorable. You have the Cobra pipes fitted too, one of the best modifications available. Happy travels and enjoy your new Dragon. The Aussie Valkaholic.

I think you are right once I get used to how it rides and the sitting of the bike I'm sure I will like it even more , I always liked the Valkyrie and wanted one for years . I'm looking forward to the spring I can't wait to get her out , Thanks for watching and commenting very much appreciated 👍👍👍

Glad to see you getting out for a little ride. In my area they put salt down on every road everywhere. Massive salt. The white dust of death ☠️💀 for metal

The Valkyrie boys say to use regular gas. They seem to do better with that, unlike the Road King, which recommends high octane. Another thing, Valkyries work better when switching gears at 4000 RPMs. They don’t clunk as much.☺️🤙

Yeah, it was on for a while near the end of the ride. I have a '98 Valkyrie tourer, just have to get into the habit of cancelling it.​ Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't Harley's have self canceling signals?@@JRBACZYK
